The problem seems solved after i install and activate tagDiv Mobile Theme in my wordpress.
Good evening,
This may be a stupid question, so sorry in advance if it is, but I’m learning this stuff completely from scratch (with the help of Google) and it’s only been a few weeks.
I’ve been publishing articles on my website, and it’s been fine up until my most recent post. My latest post is showing on desktop, but when I access the site on mobile it’s not there, showing the second to latest post as most recent instead.
On desktop, this is the latest post: http://pimpmyhouse.co.uk/general-house/the-pros-and-cons-of-dark-decor-should-i-paint-my-room-black/
On mobile, this is the latest post: http://pimpmyhouse.co.uk/other-spaces/a-simple-guide-for-cleaning-a-front-loading-washing-machine/
Can anybody help? I’ve tried clearing cookies / cache / history to see if it’s an issue on my side, but I’ve had friends tell me they can’t see the latest posts either.
I’ve probably ticked a box somewhere, but just a bit stuck on what the issue is.
thanks in advance!

Hi Loano,
Nice AMP example you have. It looks quite nice on mobile!
I assume you use Cloud Templates for your different pages, categories, and posts. Am I right? However, when using cloud templates, I faced some constraints. Specifically, using Advanced Ads and image ads (not AdSense), I wanted to create ads displayed according to Categories & Language. This was not possible with cloud templates since they are not considered as categories per se…
So the trick was to use one template per category, and assign a different ad group… Painful, but this is the only trick I found so far. Any recommendation?
In the meantime, I assume it might lead to imperceptible improvements in speed as it does not run over 20 “If’s” (conditions) to display an ad. But normally imperceptible.
The mobile version(Mobile+AMP) of my website has a white background but the content of my articles are blending in with the background(the body, author names, as well as the title). As a result of this, the whole page looks completely white without any content.
You have to activate the format of the thumbnails used in the Mobile version. Go to your theme panel > Block settings > Thumbs on Modules/Blocks.
Then, you may have to regenerate your thumbnails. To do so, use a plugin and it should be pretty straightforward.
Best,
Hi,
Google score 98 without AMP I think this is nearly impossible. About your questions:
Ads at specific locations on AMP shoud be possible by using the Advanceds Ads Plugin by Thomas Meyer. We use it to place the ads on our Site here: Example
Never adapted the AMP thumbnails but it should be possible by adding some custom css to the mobile theme css field within the theme settings. (We changed the whole logo and color for one of our categories even in AMP, Example)
The amout of posts displayed can be set from mobile theme settings.
Hi,
I noticed that on Newspaper AMP a post into post embed does not display any preview.
It displays just a simple link: https://prnt.sc/sc0oug
How it should look (like mobile version): https://prnt.sc/sc0tqr
Then I went to my testsite. There I use a 1 year old version of AMPforWP and the preview displays properly. That means, the preview on AMP is possible and I guess it’s just not set up in your Theme AMP Files.
Can you please tell me how to make the preview display on AMP?
Thanks!
Hi Arnaud,
I have also tried a lot to improve the page speed with the Newspaper theme. Unfortunately I never got beyond 60/80 mobile/desktop. Not even with the mobile theme. The only thing that finally helped me to reach a page speed of 97-100 permanently is AMP (all you need to do is to install the official AMP Plugin and activate AMP in Newspaper Theme). Even completely without optimization a speed of over 90 is possible. There are some limitations but for a “normal” news page it should work quite well. Here my page: WLAN and its AMP-Version https://wlan.net/?amp (For mobile visitors)

Hi Arnaud. It is an old problem and following all tweaks mentioned by them achieved nothing specially on mobile
Hi there,
It’s the first time we use the Newspaper theme to create a website. However, what is negatively surprising is the speed we obtain with the theme. We are still trying to improve it since we have bad results.
The website is located here: https://letzbehealthy.com and is configured for two “languages/regions” with WPML.
We followed the different recommendations given here: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ and in other topics on the forum. The only thing is that we did not set up any CDN: our target population is in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, and the server is localized in France (Gravelines, OVH). Also, to start, we are on a shared server since we don’t have much traffic, but we will consider switching to a dedicated server when it will grow. The website is, however, slow while never reaching limits of the CPU usage.
Regarding the Plugins, we have:
– Advanced Ads Pro;
– Autoptimize to minify CSS;
– Contact Form 7;
– Duplicator Pro (running during the night);
– Insert Pages;
– Newsletter;
– Really Simple SSL;
– ShortPixel Image Optimizer;
– Slide Anything;
– The Events Calendar;
– Wordfence Security;
– TagDiv suite (except Mobile Theme & Standard Pack since we only use Cloud Templates);
– WP Super Cache;
– WP-Optimize to clean the database episodically;
– WPML suite, and;
– Yoast.
We, therefore, use well-known plugins that are quite standard…
The score is “OK” when looking at the desktop version (PageSpeed Google), with a score starting around 80 when the cache of the server is cleaned and slightly improves after reload. Still, the page loading speed could sincerely be enhanced.
On the mobile side, the score is horrible. We don’t use the mobile theme because our mobile display is supposed to be a simpler version of the desktop version with the same design & functions. We use lighten versions of our desktop version thanks to CSS hidden functions (which is the recommendation from TD team)…
Anyway, Lazyload is activated, images are optimized & sized correctly (normally), etc. What’s wrong?
Thank you in advance for your input
I mean if you just go to the webpage, you can see that mobile theme works.
Hi Team,
When I clicked to read a certain article and until the end, the website seems to automatically load and continue to other articles. So when you scroll down, you will see other full articles continually. This happens only on mobile.
Please let me know how to fix this.
Thank you so much!
Hello !
As you can see here your mobile theme is not loading. Please make sure that your website is not cached and the theme requirements are all met.
Thank you !
Hello !
When using Mobile theme you will be able to change fonts from Theme Panel – Mobile Theme – Theme fonts.
Thank you !
Hi,
As a fix you can use the code for mobile and for desktop:
<div class="td-visible-desktop" style="width:720px">
<!-- Your ad code here - this ad will show only on desktops -->
</div>
<div class="td-visible-phone" style="width:320px">
<!-- Your ad code here - this ad will show only on desktops -->
</div>
In this way the ads will look good.
Thank you!
Hi,
If you are using the mobile theme plugin, you’ll gain a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://i.imgur.com/9d0UWLT.png
Also you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> https://i.imgur.com/m0bVB5T.png you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ or if you want to have the responsive version only, you can use the amp option from mobile theme -> https://i.imgur.com/oofST3D.png (to use the mobile theme template on amp) or you can disable the plugin.
When the mobile version or amp is displaying on desktop is a cache problem, we recommend to use WP Super Cache with the settings from our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ also if you are using other cache plugins please deactivate theme and make a test, also this will solve the problem with latest post on mobile device.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Since I’ve implemented the mobile theme, Google started flagging all my pages for being not optimised for mobile. In fact, it sees all my pages broken somehow. Here is a link – https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly?hl=uk&id=4hBCUTUrXniuYebSJVkkKA. You can also check this page in Google Console – https://funrumor.com/useful-tips/sweets-to-gift-your-mom-on-mothers-day/. This affects our SEO drastically. Please help fix it ASAP.
I want to make it more easy to see the words of the menu in the mobile theme..I like how the mains are bolder and bigger but the sub menu isn’t as visible.. need bigger or diff font style? how can I adjust these settings?thanks in advance.. would love to see a mobile Menu font theme editor section<3 hope u have a great day friend. I really appreciate your support it’s helping me a lot.
..u guys should make it possible to add attachments so would be seamless and could easily attach mobile and tablet screen shots to the forum for support opposed to having to upload them and send to u via link insert. Would be good for records/guides also.. just a thought from a user perspective & fellow developer
P.s I was uploading the screenshot from my iPhone to WordPress via app and it won’t work so now I have to air drop to laptop then upload to be able to insert image for u.. see what I mean.. would make this process much easier from our side as client if there was paper clip or add photo from library button.. ?
Much love

Hi, I’d Like to ask if “Adsense Auto ads for AMP” is only for an adsense code? I’ve start using an AdBlock adserver. They want me tu paste code like that:
<amp-ad width=”XX” height=”XX”
type=”adplugg”
data-access-code=”A4XXX445″
data-zone=”reklama_w_artykule_amp_”
></amp-ad>
Can I put this code in that field, or maybe a I should paste it “Custom code” section?
Hi,
with the width setted in px it works on desktop but it seems strange on mobile.
If I set the width with auto or % it doesn’t work in any device.

Hello !
The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme. The mobile editor will not render shortcodes !
Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:
Please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Mobile theme plugin can be disabled from Newspaper Plugins as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/LnkZCEVC
Thank you !
Hi,
The social networks can be set for mobile version from here -> https://i.imgur.com/7HXJ3au.png
The login option from responsive option can be disable from here -> https://i.imgur.com/QkI5doL.png
If you are using the mobile theme plugin the option is here -> https://i.imgur.com/u9NlB6S.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
