Hi,
You can use the mobile theme plugin and your homepage on mobile will be different, but please notice that you’ll need to create the pages only using the mobile editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
Since Newspaper v9.7.4 you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/oh6r2s you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Hi,
From what I can see the mobile theme is still appearing on desktop version, this is usually a cache plugin conflict, please deactivate your it and check to see if this will still happen, also we recommend to use WP Super Cache plugin.
Thank you!
Please see
We are seeing a big dead white space in the header of home and category pages, we are seeing this in several browsers as well as mobile. This popped out of nowhere as there have been no changes to the theme is several days. Can someone please help?
Hi,
Quite unusual, if the mobile theme is disabled for that page, it should not be displayed anymore. Looks like the settings has no effect.
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also FTP or cPanel may be needed. We will investigate the issue. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.
Thanks
Dear support,
I would like to use a different mobile menu than the main menu, but I would not like to use the AMP-plugin, since it messes up the design. When “AMP” only is chosen, the mobile menu reverts to the main menu, not the mobile menu. How do I proceed? Also, how do I get the action buttons to display (some how) in mobile view. The action buttons in the header are visible in desktop mode.
Kind regards,
Peter
-After I enable mobile menu to be sticky and hit save. When I check it again, the sticky option is turn off. Do it multiple times and the setting still can’t be saved.
I enable it: https://ibb.co/kgvVwdj
The setting is not saved: https://ibb.co/0h677Qp
-There isn’t any option to copy the normal menu but I can still copy/paste the mobile menu just fine.
Hi,
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I see the pull-down filter is hidden on desktop with CSS, but on mobile there is stronger code coming from the theme that make is visible
– https://prnt.sc/pqmctx
You could simply disable it if you don’t want it on desktop and mobile
– https://prnt.sc/pqmddi
Hiding it with CSS for mobile is possible as well – https://prnt.sc/pqme30 You just have to make the initial CSS code that was used, stronger. Look for it in the theme panel Custom CSS section and add !important to it.
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
-When I tap the mobile menu, there seem to be a ‘lag’ when the menu is showing up.
-Can I change the font size of the mobile menu?
-Can I set the mobile menu to have the option ‘Drop menu items in More’ like normal menu?
Hi,
A cloud header template can be customized for all it’s 4 stages:
Default desktop – https://prnt.sc/pqlxwc
Sticky desktop – https://prnt.sc/pqly2j
Default mobile – https://prnt.sc/pqlybd
Sticky mobile – https://prnt.sc/pqlyh8
This can be done using the header manager – https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-manager/
Please edit the cloud header you are using and customize these states as you want
– https://prnt.sc/pqm0e3
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi Simion, thanks for checking. It is now activated again.
It even shows the mobile theme on my laptop with MacOS with the Safari Browser.
Hi,
The mobile theme is a plugin, you can simply deactivate the plugin. Then the content form desktop will appear on mobile (responsive version). The elements in the page like blocks and grids will adapt to display correctly on mobile.
Thanks
Hi,
The mobile theme should apply only on phones, not on tablets. I have checked your website, seems like the mobile theme is not active at the moment – https://www.sciencenation.de/
I could take a look if you activate it. Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
@Maggo If you would like us to take a look, please let us know. Mention some more details about it, and post a link to where we can see the problem.
@Decentralbox That should have been possible to solve with CSS, if you should activate the mobile theme again in the future, we could give this another try.
Thanks
Hi,
Making a cloud header sticky is possible. The elements you use in the default header can be the same or different than the sticky version.
To edit the sticky version of a cloud header, activate the sticky mode in the composer
– https://prnt.sc/pqiquf
Then add the elements you want in the sticky header. If there are no elements, the header will not be sticky.
Same for mobile – https://prnt.sc/pqirba
Note that in the composer you can copy paste elements, through the right-click menu
– https://prnt.sc/pqis0y
This would be useful if you want to use the same elements from the normal header, in the sticky header.
Thanks
Hi,
The background color and image settings for the menu modal are in the theme panel. When the mobile theme is not active you can use these settings
– https://prnt.sc/pqidu8 – https://prnt.sc/pqied9
When the mobile theme is active these settings can be used – https://prnt.sc/pqif47
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Thank you very much for your kind words. At the moment if the last modified date setting is activated for all modules in general – https://prnt.sc/pqiasi the mobile theme modules will display it as well for it’s modules.
But in the post page the modified date of the post isn’t displayed. There may be an option added for this in a future update.
So at the moment displaying the modified date in the post page on mobile, with the mobile theme active, could only be done by maybe modifying the post template that the mobile theme uses.
Sorry for the inconvenience, let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
You could import and inspect a ready made cloud header template
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
The columns by default will stack one above the others on mobile, but they can be made to display inline.
A mobile menu with 3 inline columns (usually menu + logo + search) can be made like this:
First column – https://prnt.sc/pqi5k3
Second – https://prnt.sc/pqi5or
Third – https://prnt.sc/pqi5tm
All the 3 columns have to be set to display inline block – https://prnt.sc/pqi6xj
Maybe I missed something, if you need help or you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
Those are settings for the mobile theme. But if you don’t want the mobile theme, simply disable the plugin. If you deactivate the plugin the mobile theme won’t apply anymore
– https://prnt.sc/pqhtu3
Or if you want a specific page or post to not use the mobile theme, you can do it with the option mentioned above (option appears only in Gutenberg). If you have more questions let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
There is something you can try. Place the block you want to show only on mobile in the page, at the top as you want it. Then hide it for all viewports except mobile. Rows/columns/elements have a display option which can be set per viewport.
So for example you can hide the respective block on all the viewports except mobile
https://prnt.sc/pqhme9 -> https://prnt.sc/pqhmoa -> https://prnt.sc/pqhmub
The result should be how you want it. If you have more questions let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
Sorry for the misunderstanding, Calin was referring to pages from what I can see. Category pages have settings only in the theme panel.
Are you referring to the top grid displayed in the category pages? These would be all the types of grids available at the moment – https://prnt.sc/pqhg3l
On the mobile responsive version they will adapt, as they are predefined and don;t have any settings to change their layout desktop vs mobile.
If this is not what you wanted to know, some more details would be very helpful. Let me know.
Thanks
Hello,
I’m probably doing something wrong.
Please tell me, is it correct that there is no mobile editor for posts, but for pages it is?
page – https://prnt.sc/pqgxvo
post – https://prnt.sc/pqgyec
I think that the mobile editor should be at the post and the page.
if I enable or disable the mobile theme for the post, nothing changes
If I disabled the mobile theme for the page, I expected it to be like this:
https://prnt.sc/pqh02v – https://prnt.sc/pqh0kt
But I have like this: https://prnt.sc/pqh1jf
I already buy two news paper9, but I still could not understand how it works:)
I disabled all plugins, but that did not help.
The site is not cached yet as it is under construction.
Please help me, what am I doing wrong?
I don’t think I’m explaining this very well.
I am referring to the drop-down menu that begins with the category item called LATEST.
The drop down menu doesn’t show up on the desktop version of my site (for some reason). But it shows up when viewed on a mobile. Please see this image:
http://animalsvoice.com/drop-down.png
I want to remove it from showing up a mobile device.
Thank you.
When I edit a page or post, the visual editor is very narrow (see image below). It almost looks like it’s trying to default to show me what my post will look like on a mobile phone. Is there a way to widen this?
