What could be the solution then? I’m surprised to be the 1st one to have this problem (which is very important SEO wise). How do other websites handle the SEO on their smartlist pages?

The theme has no RTL support at the moment and Arabic is an RTL language.

many thanks for your answer ! You answered partly to my question.
Definition: personally by “title banner”, I mean a logo having the form of a banner, so it is not an advertising. It is containing a title (in fact:the name of my website) together with a small logo.
I attempted to upload it as a “logo”, but the system doesn’t allow it due to the size.
What do you think ? James

It appears to be at least partly due to the following transform used on the menu:

I fixed it! For some reason something had changed (though I have no idea how or what) and H3 was being used elsewhere in the page template which threw it all out. I changed my smartlists to use H6 and re-formatted the post which solved everything (and re-formatted my previous posts of lists too).

I do see how the smart lists work, and I need to say that in some cases once you tasted them you do not want to stop using them. In my case, I’m using it on my only post 🙂 what a great writer 😀

I’m an SEO and such a situation is kind of problematic when it comes to indexing a post properly. I’m not sure the use of the wordpress shortlink wtually has any impact here.

I’m no coder, do you know if it would be possible to modify the samrt list php file in order to make the subpages canonical tags (/2/, /3/, …) point to the main post URL instead?

That would definitively be a great addition to anyone making use of the smart lists.

Above 3K words, not using the smart lists would greatly reduce the user experience.
