Hello,
You can but you will have to test it out as it is not tested by us. I cannot provide any recommendations but we have seen usesr’s websites that do not use our social sharing options but rather third party plugins.
You can give it a try.
Thank you!
Hello Developer,
Greetings of the Day and Happy Holidays to your Team,
I am facing a issue with the sharing of my website link over facebook post. My website pcmckar.in when added to a facebook post shows in the snippet information from the maintenance page of “Mojo Marketplace”. Request you to just try it out at your end first over facebook and see. I have installed WP Super Cache plugin as recommend cleared the cache, still the issue persist. Have also deactivated the plugin from backend. Can you please take a quick look into this.
Regards,

Hello,
Im having an issue with tagline. Im sharing my site http://www.iranci.cz on facebook and the tagline still shows default “just another WP site” which is a bit embarassing and my customer hates it. Could you please tell me what to do, what and where to change? I have certailny changed the tagline in sttings > general, and i also checked apperarance > customize > site identity – there is also what i wanted. Still “just another WP site while sharing and talking about my site.
Any advices, please?
Hello Alex,
If you want to have the top sharing as the bottom one, you can simply activate the top article like/tweet: http://screencast.com/t/gP6L5klA
And then you can add this css in the theme panel-> custom css box:
.td-post-sharing-top {
border: 1px solid #ededed;
padding: 10px 26px;
margin-bottom: 40px;
}
The word share cannot be added with css though. If you want the work share to appear on the top as well you will have to edit the theme core files to add the different html structure required.
Thank you!
Hello jncroyle,
Please notice that our theme does not have any such an option for the Linkedin button, sorry! Below, I have presented you a possible way for this implementing. Also, please notice that your problem happens due to your Linkedin functionality and we cannot provide support for this, sorry! You should check your button functionality and if the problem will be there, you should try to change this. For more information about this regard, please consult here -> https://developer.linkedin.com/docs/share-on-linkedin#
1. Copy this code:
title, ENT_COMPAT, ‘UTF-8’)), ENT_COMPAT, ‘UTF-8’) . ‘&source=’ . urlencode(get_bloginfo(‘name’)) . ‘” onclick=”window.open(this.href, \’mywin\’,\’left=50,top=50,width=600,height=350,toolbar=0\’); return false;”><i class=”fa fa-linkedin”></i>
Paste it here: http://screencast.com/t/iKzR3wrLjP
IMPORTANT NOTICE: There are 2 instances of the same code in that page. One is for the top sharing icons and one is for the bottom icons. If you want linked in on both you need to paste the code twice for each instance. If you only want the top or bottom, make sure you place the code in the correct spot.
2. Copy this code:
.td-social-linkedin{
margin-left:8px;
background-color:
#006699!important;;
}
Paste it in the theme panel-> custom CSS spot
The result is here -> http://screencast.com/t/7dLgIuOpBp
I have tested with the latest version of Newspaper and the Linkedin Button seems to work as properly.
Thanks for your understanding!

Catin, the post looks great! Thanks. However, I am now having issues now sharing a post with LinkedIn. The post writing is shared but the main heading picture does not go through. This was with a new post I created last night. I tried an older post and it went through fine. Did something you do affect this?

Hello,
Thank you for your suggestion but unfortunately this will be very difficult to make as we would have to create a special version of the theme to fit the Chinese software limitations including google fonts and social networks. I will add this suggestion but i cannot promise anything as our theme is sold international and we have to fulfill the majority’s demand. Sorry. You will have to customize the theme to add your very own social networks and remove the existing ones. This can be done for the social share icons or the header and footer icons, but for the social counter plugin, this will be very difficult to make as it is a very complex plugin.
Here are a few examples of how to add a social icon to the post sharing icons:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/add-linkedin-sharing-button/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-add-a-vk-sharing-button-on-your-posts/
Thank you!
Our Linkedin Share Button disappeared when we updated the Theme yesterday. Can you direct us to the tutorial or instructions to fix?
Old instructions below no longer work;
Old part:
<div class=”td-sp td-sp-linkedin”></div>
New part:
<i class=”fa fa-linkedin”></i>
Hi
I have a megamenu pointing to a page in the menu (the ‘explore’ item on the header menu). See website here: https://kiwiyak.nz/lemon .
However, the megamenu is also showing elements from the page I’m on. e.g. if you go to a post, I see the social sharing elements on the menu as indicated in red in this screenshot: https://snag.gy/KdxOka.jpg.
What’s going wrong here?
Thanks
Tom
Hello,
We did not test the line network but you can use the methods provided in these examples: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/add-linkedin-sharing-button/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-add-a-vk-sharing-button-on-your-posts/
You will need a button code from the network though.
Thank you!
Hi,
First of all, Really love your theme.
We run a news website which has a dedicated server with a dedicated MySQL Server.
We have been working on customizing it for atleast 2 months.
We had launched the website, but there were some serious issues with the implementation of the theme.
1. We have news sharing through RSS Feeds and our 3rd party subscribers who are paid were unable to receive any updates from us after the activation of the theme.
2. We have inArticle ads which come in from a video ad network, the code was well implemented but that also stopped displaying.
We had the theme activated for 2 days and in those 2 days we had seen the worst revenue generation in months.
I was wondering if you had any insights on this.
Thanks
Hello gbhackersonsecurity,
Please try to identify what you changed since you last saw it working properly and revert any changes. You can try to disable all plugins except visual composer clear cache and reset CDN files but even so, WhatsApp sometimes is able to grab the image and sometimes not. I ran a quick test in sharing an article from our demo but no image was grabbed so it could be an app issue.
Unfortunately, the WhatsApp image provided mixed results in our tests as well. All the proper markup is there but it seems the networks simply does not grab the image. We will implement a fix for this if we find one.But for the moment there is no solution.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Hello Kowak,
In order to add new social sharing buttons in the top or bottom sharing on posts, you will have to edit the theme code a bit. The theme has no settings to add any extra button so it will have to be added through the code. Here are a few examples:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/add-linkedin-sharing-button/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-add-a-vk-sharing-button-on-your-posts/
Thank you!
If you use the theme share buttons they will appear bellow the reviews.
Jetpack place his share buttons in the post content and if you want to place them somewhere else please check their documentation – https://jetpack.com/2013/06/10/moving-sharing-icons/
Thanks!
here a screenshot of what i mean

hi
how do i get my featured images to appear when sharing a page on social media? when i try to share a page on a social site like Facebook or Twitter, it just displays a blank space.
issue is site wide
newspaper version is 7.4
here’s a page with with the error:
http://www.methodshop.com/1999/12/bmx-bandits.shtml
and a screenshot

Thank you you in advance!
Hello,
In order to edit a header style, you will have to change it’s code as there is no setting to change the elements of a header. If you want to remove the header ad and replace it with the social icons, you will have to edit this file: http://screencast.com/t/DMIETQ5H
You can find the sharing widget code here: http://screencast.com/t/Re6yMPrw
You will need to adapt the code for it to work and then you will have to add some css rules for positioning
You will require coding skills for this. Moving things around is never easy.
Thank you!
Hello Bogdan, thanks for answer.
I do all you say but I still in the same point and worse. I still can’t removing the default social sharing buttons. And the news now i’m unable to edit the ads in the theme panel of the Newspaper theme too. I try to put adsense codes (i already put 1 several weeks ago when i configure the theme by the 1st time, but now i don’t know what happen the system don’t allow me to do the same and include another codes and save) and try to save the changes but nothing happen, and the changes when i refresh the page are not save.
I appreciate your help because i really need to set up this site to put to work
Go to newspaper > includes > modules > td_module_single.php
Permanently remove text
Delete these lines.
To hide with CSS (Add to your custom css or stylesheet)
.td-social-sharing-buttons .td-social-but-text {
display: none;
}
