Same problem–no images. I installed the new theme update, checked that line 1976 was updated (it was) and updated Visual Composer to the latest available (not the old version included with the theme update). No help. No images. So back to a backup. When you get around to fixing this, let us know.

Can you point me to where the filtering is setup for the block? I’m going to have to hack in support for this. A static list of posts is no good, content is updated regularly.

I’d be open to making a new block and having it load an alternate class that has been modified to filter on the custom taxonomy. Can you point me to files involved in creating this block for VC and where the query is defined?

Exactly that, no photo’s showing up. I downloaded the update that is available but no change at all. Come on guys, fix this!

Sorry, I don’t have an answer for you. But I’m wondering if you found a page anywhere with what this update includes? What changes were made?

Hello brunop,

You’ll need to deactivate and then delete the Visual Composer plugin that’s already installed on your site first, then install the updated version of the plugin. Doing this will still allow you to keep all of the settings you previously had as well (it worked for me when I did it earlier today). Here is a link to the instructions for updating Visual Composer. Hope this helps and it works for you.

Any news yet on an update that will bring the theme in line with Woocommerce 2.5 it’s been out for months and there hasn’t been a theme update for 3 months. it worries me that I have another instance of the theme out there with a store and products and there’s no update for that??????

I’ve got 4 sites running this theme, the lack of a proper updates is getting a bit worrying

I don’t know if anyone else has had problems with the last version of VC that was bundled with the previous update. I have got problems with the masonry gallery dissappearing after a time. Also Have problems duplicating pages in VC back end, they come out all over the place once you’ve duplicated them with all the content boxes overlapping. My header ads also broke at the last update which I’ve only just noticed and am currently trying to sort out in another thread.

Unfortunately this theme seems to be going a bit shonky on the 4 installations I’ve used it on, I’ve taken 2 of them down cos they keep falling apart and I’m not confident in them. I’ve even gone as far as buying a instance of the newspaper theme due to the lack of confidence in this theme. maybe I should start looking for alternative themes? I don’t know, it’s a worry though

An update just got released through Newspaper, so you should be able to download the new version of the Visual Composer plugin that’s compatible with WordPress 4.5.

Once you’ve downloaded the updated plugin, follow the steps in this link to update the plugin.

Now I remarked that visual composer has also problems with word press 4.5
When I want to edit pages (for instance the start page to place an add block) there is no access to visual composer to add elements to the right place. I hope a theme update is coming up soon to fix this problem.

We will release a package with the fix for javascript file and it will also contain the new version of Visual Composer plugin. We try to make the update as soon as possible but we need some time to test it.

I replaced the line 1976 at javascript, as it seems the wordpress updated and the theme needs update too.

now fixed smart sidebar and menu problem.
