I also have an “issue” I was watching the update video tutorial and when I tried to backup my theme in the way that you did, it didn’t work for me. When I tried to just transfer a copy of my theme onto my computer under a backup folder nothing happened.
Basically I wasn’t able to backup my theme in that matter as in the video
Why didn’t you continue writing the date next to the updates?
for example as you did before: v 1.6 – 18 october
I hope v 1.7.3 is the latest update
It would be really helpful just to have a date next to the updates in the future.
Thank you
Unfortunally you didn’t update the galley options.
Is it possible to have an official roadmap with all suggestions from you and from community. Maybe a sticky post on this board?
Hello,
Please update that 2 sprite files. You have the old files. Update elements.png and elements@2x.png
Thanks for the message!
Hi there!
I’m using the Newspaper theme on http://denkfabrikblog.de and have to report some really annoying bug that appeared with version 2.0
The elements.png doesn’t show up in the menu on mobile devices as can be seen in the following screenshots:
It’s not that the file would be missing. It’s still there:
http://denkfabrikblog.de/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/sprite/elements.png
http://denkfabrikblog.de/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/sprite/elements@2x.png
And it should be displayed in the relevant mobile resolutions as can be seen here:
http://responsive.pixeltuner.de/?s=http%3A%2F%2Fdenkfabrikblog.de
So, what did I break during the update-process? Where should I look?
Or ist it a general problem?
I’d be glad to hear from you.
Thanks in advance!
Manuel
I did the latest update and now my header doesn’t fit the rest of my site. It was fine before the update.
Any idea what happened?
Also where to find the update log for version 2.0? I mean the list of files that i need to replace.
Yout suggestion does not fit. I have cleared it with css and floats.
Hello,
Edit like here: http://screencast.com/t/jBdRy2mga6pn
We will fix it in the next update.
Thanks
Hello,
Reply via email.
Hello,
You have to increase that area size if you want to fit social and login to.
Edit menu_top.php http://screencast.com/t/s7uUIqSU
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
We have it on our todo list for the following updates.
Thanks
Did you replace the position of the login widget with the social icons? Because there seems not enough place for both – it breaks in 2 lines…
Hi,
Thanks for the fast reply. I sent those details you requested in an email.
Hello,
I see that the HTML structure is fine. Please send us access to your WP and we will make the update for you. Probably have some corrupted file. Try to copy all the files again via FTP and see if works. If don’t send access at contact@tagdiv.com and we will take a look.
Thanks
I found out what the problem is but no clue what causing it or how to fix it. I followed this guide in the Newspaper FAQ and tutorials section:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-manage-html-structure-compromised-the-site-looks-bad-broken/
It turns out that the problem isn’t with HTML but with my CSS structure. I used the W3C CSS validation service and the results are below if @radu can please have a look.
regards,
Hello!
First of all. Thanx for making a great theme.
I really love the support and quickness of the updates.
I have this challenge. After updating to version 1.7.2 my sticky posts are not shown.
Am i doing something wrong? Hope you can help. I have made a compromise and added a block to show them, but before they were shown among and above the other posts.
My site is http://www.ggbkursus.dk.
Thx.
Hi,
I installed the update from v1.2 to v1.7.2 and the theme is completely broken now. I only had one (search box) bug before installing the update. Now the whole theme seems to be broken after installing the new version.
It looks to be an HTML/CSS problem but I’m no coder so I don’t know what the problem is or how to fix it nor what even to look for.
Can a nice support person please help me out?
Thanks,
Hello,
We have no solution for that at this time, we added to our todo list on github for future updates.
Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience!
Have a nice day!

Hi, not sure if this helps, I had same issue on install… may not apply to you
1) to setup social icons, use the appearance > widgets and then drag the [tagdiv]social widget to the Top Right (social) sidebar; open and put in your URLs, select icon type (e.g., type 1,2,3,4 — which will vary the style by color, white, black); “save” then go look
2) for the main menu, to add a “home” icon you have to create or update your menus under appearance > menus … in my case the “primary” menu I added a new menu item called “Home” per normal WP menu setup then when you go to edit the actual menu item on right side, there will be option to use an icon in place of text. (The icons “enhance” the normal WordPress menu editor; unlike some crappy themes, this doesn’t rewrite and break the whole WP menu system; so, you’re basically setting up a custom menu item and then using an icon vs text).
If you’re saying you don’t see *any* icons when you go to do that, then it’s possible your install was incomplete, and may be missing the sprites included in /theme/images/
Not sure if that helps. I just popped in here while waiting on some automated stuff, not wanting to work. I’m not part of the tech support crew. 🙂

Hello all,
can you try this:
—————— test 1
on the slow site. Remove the social widget and try the loading speed.
—————— test2
1. backup the faster site (theme files)
2. update the theme on the faster site and see if it remains fast.
ALSO:
are you using a vps or a dedicated server? I can have a look at your server configs if you want but I will need ssh access for that. contact@tagdiv.com
OK. Your welcome Marius. Looks like at the moment it is not a feature. Was not sure if I was missing something. Perhaps in a future update 🙂
