And with regards to the images- on the archive listing pages we wanted a 2 column grid. In your template system it would have made sense to use either of the modules M1 to M5 for this sort of layout, however the images always looked really blurry on higher res monitors. When I actually investigated, I could see that module M1 & 2 were generating the crop sizes 324x160px standard & 648x320px retina, and module M3, 4 and 5 were generating 324x235px standard and 648x470px retina crops. A standard 13″ MacBook has a default resolution of 2560×1600, so the 648px retina crop just doesn’t seem large enough for a 2 col grid where the image will need to fill 50% width of the site, even if your overall site container were capped at 70 or 80% of the screen. The only way I have been able to get the images to look sharp on higher res monitors has been to use one of the full width module layouts (in this case M14) and override it’s default layout in the CSS so that the modules actually collapse to a smaller grid. This just doesn’t seem very practical, as I would have preferred the module layouts to work better for all screen sizes ‘out of the box’. Anyway I’m not sure you’ll be able to offer any further assistance for that issue, as obviously the image crop sizes are currently fixed, but if you can advise on the breadcrumb query that would be appreciated.
Sometime over the past couple of days my Guttenberg editor has been very narrow (365px wide). I’ve not installed any new plugins recently, the only thing I have done is an update to the latest version of the theme.
Switching theme to the default 2020 theme fixes the issue and disabling all of the TagDiv plugins when the Newspaper theme is still activated fixes the issue.
Any ideas?

Hello there,
The Newspaper theme has Big issue with the canonical tag and Yoast plugin. When I use + latest articles + pagination option the canonical is repeated (duplicate) in the view source code home. It affects the SEO and the drop in the Google rankings SERPs.
The canonical tag is repeated 2 times, this is terrible for SEO to ruin our traffic.
Apparently the theme breaks the Yoast code (canonical link), causing the plugin to repeat the canonical 2 times in the Home and on the next pages: /page/1 until the end.
It’s confuses for Google bots, leaving your home page in the last ranking positions, and loss of JUICE in the links.
It’s not a Yoast issue, when you deactivate the plugin, the error continues. Only disappears when you change the theme from (+ latest articles + pagination) to (latest posts) option. But here is a big problem, because you cannot activate extracts for the posts in this module 1. What should we do? Most user should have the same problem and have not noticed it.
Starting on April after the Newspaper Theme updates, the visitor drop dramatically. Many think it’s Yoast issue plugin, which mistakenly deleted the meta tags from all posts for “No index”. But it was fixed in the version 14.1.
The issue only appears on the home page and home pagination

I’ve been having the problem many have had on here – the mobile theme will show randomly on the desktop, the desktop theme will show randomly on mobile, and both look horrible (moreso the mobile theme on desktop!).
However, disabling Cloudflare (Developer Mode) has helped with the mobile/desktop theme swap problem (touch wood). So does anyone have any theories which Cloudflare setting might cause that problem? I have Rocket Loader disabled as well as Minify options, which I thought could be an issue.
Secondly, does anyone know what might break a series of functions, namely ‘Update’ (post/page), ‘Preview’ and ‘Load More’ buttons to show more articles. Is it ‘Ajax’ related? I literally can’t update pages or posts at the moment.
Before I get the response I’ve seen many times, I have disabled caching software and all plugins. It’s incredibly frustrating as I wasn’t having these issues until a few days ago.

This is because the flex block has a font set and this is overwrite by the settings made with tagDiv Composer, there are the default settings on the block that are first load https://prnt.sc/slj5cr the only way should be to remove this code from theme files, but this is not indicate, also after theme update the changes in theme files will be overwrite.

the question is… does this often happen with your theme? Its not supposed to happen but rarely. I lost all progress I made, my question is… why did it set back to default settings after I updated it? whats the use of updating if I have to restore the older version if the update goes wrong?
I wanted an update in case someone else comes across this, I think it was a combination with the ad plugin I was using, switch to Advanced Ads, AND used the <div width> trick and that does work. Without the <div> it does not display. So thanks Calin!
