If you made the customize in child theme, or in Custom code, the setting/code will be keep, but if you change in the theme file then you’ll need to make the customization again.
Also please make sure that you make full backup before update, and clear all cache after you make the update.

Today I got a new updated version of this theme, I download the new version but I am unable to install it. Because when I install it shows that the designation folder of this theme already exists. might I uninstall the previous version to update the new one?

You can make the update, the TagDiv Composer will update automatic, only the TagDiv Cloud Library you’ll need to update from Newspaper>Plugins, but first please make a full backup.
Also if you have problems with images please deactivate lazyload https://www.screencast.com/t/41RX5jqHp3 , we make some investigation on it.

Furthermore it seems to me as if the tagDiv Pagebuilder isn’t working anymore, at least the button is missing in the top bar as well as above the page in the backend

The temporary solution is to deactivate the theme lazyload in the theme panel after the update to 9.2 until we investigate. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Also be sure to clear all caching and purge CDN, this may cause the problem after the update.
-After updating the website and you go to my homepage you don’t see any pictures with my blog posts.
-The whole website is extremely slow, not 100% sure if this is because of the update saying honestly.

WP_MEMORY_LIMIT try to increase it to a value of double you already have if possible.
Also please deactivate all plugins that are non theme, clear all cache and try again.

I have customized Newspaper theme to make a plugin compatible with the theme. Will it still be compatible after the new update? Or I have to customized again?
Sorry to ask such a basis 101 question … there is a new update out but when I updated in the past it broke my website. I had to update TagDiv Composer and TagDiv Cloud Library plugins. From what I recalled it was not a simple matter of clicking ‘update’ from the theme panel. I had to go somewhere (can’t remember) and download the plugins and installed them.
Is there a simpler process to update the version and plugin so that the website does not break?

I just received the new theme update to version 9.2, I was currently using 9.0.1.
I think it’s a very good update, thank you for your work. This is now ready for the next update of WP 5 and the new editor Gut.
However, I am an optimization freak (you already know it, because I am very heavy asking many questions constantly).
And I have done some tests with Newspaper 9.2 and I have noticed a loss of points. So I removed all the cache and generated a new preload. But the score is the same, a little low compared to the previous version (9.0.1).
So I’ve restored a backup and I’m back to version 9.0.1, I did tests again, and the score is better, no doubt.
Add, that by upgrading to 9.2 I have also upgraded the plugins (amp, td-mobile, etc…). But the result in score, is a little lower than I expected.

Blocks do not show images in chrome or firefox. Some images show in Edge after updating page 3-4 times.
Same here! Update from 9.1 to 9.2 and this thing happens. Hi,
When WordPress will receive the new update, a theme update will be released. We made tests on our side with the new editor, issues could happen that are not caused by the theme but by WordPress itself.
As many recommend in multiple topics online, it would be better to first test this not in the live site, but in a development copy of the website if possible.
