Im using the userpro plugin with the newspaper theme and I have just about everything working so far. The only thing i cant get working is to make the usernames in comments clickable to link to that users profile. Ive gone throught userpro documentation on how to do it but i keep breaking my pages. here is a LINK to the how to. Thanks for any help!

Thanks that definitely worked. After I got that working I wanted to try to get the UserPro login to come up instead of being displayed inside of the td-login-wrap to make it a little cleaner. I found what might be an even easier solution. I replaced THIS css class in top-menu.php to THIS. Try it and see if it works on your end, it seems to be working for me. You can test it on my site Mainly Viral. Let me know what you think. Thanks again for the fast help!

How can I remove the mega menu plugin? I am trying to use a conditional menu plugin and it wont activate because of a conflict with the MM plugin. My main goal is this, I’m using the UserPro plugin, and in the top menu i want to show a login/register link to unlogged users, and profile/logout links to logged in users. If its possible to do without removing the mega menu or using new plugins I would love to know how. I’m not great with code but I can do a little with some help. Thanks guys!

Thank you very much for your reply. I was able to add the userpro login box into your topbar sign/in by adding the following code on line 77 of the top-menu.php

This brings up my login box when i click login but the issue i have now is that the Newspaper default login box still shows as well, so i end up with two login boxes. I only really wanted to click on your signin botton on the topbar and for only my userpro login box to show up.

I Would although like to incorporate my premium plugin called UserPro into the login/Sign in the topbar. Is this possible? And if so, as anyone tried it before and perhaps could point me in the right direction?

Just have a few questions.
I am planing to integrate theme with UPME or Userpro plugin, followed with few customizations with WP User Frontend plugin for frontend post publishing/editing, as the first two plugin (UPME and Userpro) do not have frontend post management, but WP user frontend does (without using medialibrary).
It would be great if you could tell me which security plugins out there would work best with the theme?
As I am planing to change login url. Will this effect the theme’s front-end login function? If so, is it fixable?
I was planing to use Hide my WP + a security plugin which you recommend.
Also I have a sugestion: this theme would be even better if you guys implement front-end post publishing/editing + User profiles. I mean, you already have that author box below posts.. so the next step would be author profiles + frontend publish/edit posts.

We are using the UserPro community plugin. It’s probably one of the best. However, the Speedbooster plugin breaks the javascript part. Is there anyway to comment out the UserPro specific .js files so they do not get altered or async load?

Hi, lover this theme, but as i was building the site i found myself unable to insert an image to the auther profile, i may have overlooked it but i simply cant find where to add it so it shows on the front end on each post i make.
The second problem i have is that i cant get the youtube video list shortcode to work, i insert the code for the youtube list but it dosent show the video/list on the front end.

Please try to deactivate all plugins, enable only Visual Composer and UserPro plugin and check if this issue is till there.

Since this post, i’ve deleted userpro as it was too resource hungry and crashed my high-traffic website, unfortunately.

I’ve only ever seen this happening with caching, or on a cheap hosted account where there are 10,000 sites on same server and php/MySQL times out on refresh (bad!).
Sometimes if you have a malformed shortcode, or other oddity that can also happen. I would probably suspect the /userpro/ stuff.
But if the text is there when you go to edit the page, try re-saving it, view the text in both plain text view and code view to see if anything odd such as inserted code that might be breaking.
If using cache, be sure to clear cache after any post goes live.
Not sure that helps, but what came to mind.
