404 Error Code for Page Advancement from Home page

Colleagues:

When a visitor goes to my site (rovertreks.com), and scrolls down to the bottom, upon clicking on the next page icon, a 404 error is returned. How do I eliminate that? It’s probably something obvious, but I’m seeing it.

Thanks, tom

Hello ttalleur,

Please try to update the theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.3) and also, please ensure that you have fully installed all the required plugins to the latest version of them (Visual Composer 4.12 and Social Counter 4.1), clear all your caches and test it again. Also, if your problem is still there after this advice, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Notice that the theme update should be made via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. For more references in this regard, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your understanding!

Thank you. I updated the Theme to 7.3. Visual Composer was already 4.12. Where do I find the update for the social counter plugin? I thought it was included with Theme updates, but my plugin remains at version 3.1 even after the theme update. I’ve checked Envato and the update download for the social counter plugin.

Thanks, tom

HI

The plugin is included in theme’s path in plugins folder. You need to delete the old plugin’s version and upload the new one from Newspaper-tf\plugins folder: http://screencast.com/t/jQt3vGmoWEGw You also need to setup the plugin according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/

Thanks!

All:

I tried the suggestions cited here. None worked. Ironically, WP came out to a recent upgrade. That fixed the problem.

Thanks for your help and comments.

Tom
