I implemented this but none of my posts show. Does it require time to populate or should it be instant. I don’t use a caching plugin.

Please make sure you have the latest version of the theme and plugins(11.2).
Re-add the elements in Composer, check this documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/7-days-post-sorting/

2. I have turned on the 7 days post sorting
When I select most popular in 7 days it doesn’t work
This statement is confusing forgive me if it should be obvious!
Note: To use this feature please make sure your view post are active because the sorting option will pick posts that are popular in the last 7 days, ordered by page views. 7 days post sorting will not work if the page view is deactivated.
Where do i activate the page view underlined above?

Make sure you have this option: https://www.screencast.com/t/xC6wm9eVs2 ; If not, then add the post views from Composer.
Please note: “This sorting option will pick posts that are popular in the last 7 days, ordered by page views.” This means its not sorting by the publish date, just by page views from last 7 days.
