I need some practical help please as I don’t find the learning documentation that straight forward methodical.
Once, I have installed the demo where do I actually start adding the content? If I would like to start editing and the demo, do I need to start using the theme panel? Is the installed demo actually automatically activated in the theme panel?

Hello Anna,
Before you use a wordpress theme you will have to understand the basics of wordpress. You will already need to know how to add content to your site using wordpress so you might want to search for a few WP tutorials before using themes. Our theme does not change any default functionality of wordpress on how to add content to a website. A demo adds content to your site: posts, categories and pages. We do not recommend editing the demo content as if you decide to switch demos in the future, the demo content will be removed even if you edited it. We suggest installing a demo without content like this guide suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
And then add your own content to the site.

The revolution slider works without an ‘activation code’ i;m not sure what you mean when you say ‘active’.
A plugin is either enabled or disabled from the plugins section of wordpress. If the plugin is enabled, it is active and working. The plugin activation process that requires a code to activate it is another thing added by the plugin author to force people to buy their product, but you do not have to buy the product as we already provide it free of charge.

Thank you for your reply. I am currently learning, hence please bear with me. I think we are talking about the same thing here. Newspaper: Plugins: it says that all other premium plugins are active besides Slider Revolution (it says ” Optional”). WP Plugins: Installed Plugins: it seems that Slider Revolution is activated. Hence, the confusion.

A theme demo once installed will grab the style of that demo. That means specific colors and a few layout changes specific for each demo. On every demo you can edit exactly the same settings as the theme panel provides. I;m not sure what you men by edit the demo though there are things you can and things you cannot do. For one, you cannot replicate the look of one demo on another one which is a popular request we get. It’s either a full demo or not at all. You cannot only have parts of it and combine different parts of multiple demos.

If it is a full demo or not, why are you saying then that on every demo you can edit exactly the same settings as the theme panel provides?
I am lost in a translation here:-). Please let me explain what I mean by editing first:
– Example: Demo Black Version – Has 6 pages: Home. Lifestyle, Fashion, Sport, Tech, World,
Editing /Customizing Question: Can I edit/customize the demo to have for example only 5 pages with?
Can I create my own list of categories or do I need to follow already
existing settings?
Reason behind the questions: I like the look of the black version and I would like to see if I can
edit/customize for a travel project. Therefore, I won’t need everything that is
currently included in the theme.

To be honest, it does not help because I kept on being referred to the generic theme info or being asked to follow WP tutorials. I have read all that and if everything was clear, I would not be reaching out to the support team for help.
Hence I am starting to get a bit frustrated because instead of actually listening to my questions you Guys keep on answering generally which is not efficient for both parties. The fact of not being able to mix between two or more demos has been already explained and acknowledged. No need to come back to that. It would be great though to get clear and simple answers to my questions.

Hi Anna,
As I understand it, you want to create your Travel project using our Black version, right? So, please notice that you can do it but first of all, you will have to install this demo or what you want, and I suggest you installing it without content. Please do not confuse the content with the layout because these are two different terms. The layout is the way in which text or pictures are set out on a page and the content is just the text or any other elements which you will have added to your page. Please notice that you can use any demo who like it and then you can add how many categories, posts, blocks, etc you want to your page/website. I will recommend you to install the demo without content because if you will install it with content and you will have to edit all of these posts when you will disable that demo, all of your content will be lost. Otherwise, all of your data will be loaded in the database and your data will be safe.

The answer is YES, you can build everything your want from scratch instead of using theme demo with content. You will have to use the demo without content to keep the suitable layout and the content can be made from scratch.

Thank you for your message. You see the theme is really powerful and having all those options could be a bit overwhelming at first, hence all the questions. The question was really about the layout. The theme has so many cool features that I am still confused to what extent can I play around with it and making it look more like my own.
