Hello,
I’m trying to add the Advanced Ads widget to the theme’s sidebar. I’ve followed all the steps per Advanced Ads, and as far as I can tell it’s compatible with the theme, yet the ads are not appearing in the sidebar. I tried looking through the threads, but I can’t seem to find an answer. Please let me know? Thank you!
I figured it out, by adding the widget sidebar from composer. You can close this, thank you!
Hi Anamaria,
Sorry, just to follow up here. So I was able to add the widget to the sidebar. However, the only option in the drop down in TagDiv is “newspaper default,” which therefore only allows one set of ads. So if I place two widgets on the page, they will both be forced to show “newspaper default” ads. How do I create a second widget, similar to “newspaper default” within the widget section of “appearance” so that I have more than one item in the drop down in TagDiv to choose from?
Hi,
You can create the sidebar with tagdiv Composer -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/. You can try to use the plugin for classic widgets, and there will also be the footer section, or create a new widget.
Thank you!
Thanks, Anamaria! This worked. How do I add widgets within the content or underneath/above the content?
Also, the AdvancedAds plug-in’s ability to automatically add ads wherever I’d like doesn’t seem to work with the newspaper theme. Do you know anything about this as well?
Hello,
You can add the widget element where you want in the template, or if you want other elements -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1R3j1QYod0
Do you need to add a code in the head for ads? If the code needs to be set between head tags, this can be put in our theme in Theme Panel -> Analytics/Js Codes -> https://prnt.sc/10jk7fq
You can also, use the ad box to display ads.
Thank you!
