Today I’ve tried to update my client’s site with the updated licenses (purchased by him) but I’ve got a lot of problems.
First of all, all the old shortcodes doesn’t work, even if I’ve installed and activated the “Standard Pack” plugin.
After that, all single articles show a “tdi api base” error. All the files has been updated via FTP.
Even if I’ve imported the configurations of the theme (previously exported) they doesn’t seem to work and the wpheader and wpfooter were broken.
A total disaster.
Now we have restored everything. But it’s a hard duty because the site have a 1.2G dbase.
Any idea or solution?
On single pages the errors was: “wp_booster error: td_api_base:get_key : a component XYZ is not set.”
This error repeated for 6 different elements ( all beginning with the string td_api_base: )

Hello!
If you won’t use default templates, then you don’t need to have Standard Pack plugin installed.
Please make sure that the theme and the plugins are up to date.
Please take a look for this advice before updating: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/action-required-please-read-how-to-update-to-the-newspaper-theme-v-10/
I recommend you to make a backup and update plugins and the theme via file transfer, so that you don’t face any error: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Please make sure that all the requirements are met as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ ; You will have to first start looking for a plugin conflict. Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache(also from your browser) and try again.
Let us know about your results!
Thank you!
Hello Bettina, thanks for your reply.
Perhaps yesterday, due to fatigue, I did not explain myself correctly.
Exactly for what is wrote on the reference page ( https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/action-required-please-read-how-to-update-to-the-newspaper-theme-v-10/ ) I installed the “standard pack” plugin BUT it doesn’t work. All the shortcodes were broken. Maybe because I’ve tryed to update from version 8 to 10?
And, as I’ve wrote yesterday, I have used an FTP client to update all the files.
All the requirements are Ok.
Obviously I’ve done a security backup but the site is quite big and it’s not so easy to do a backup and a rollback.
Yesterday I’ve wrote in this “support blog” just because I’ve no solution: following the standard instructions the site broke up. And I have had to rollback it.
This is a site made years ago by a third person that now I have to manage.
This site is a large one, with a 1,2giga of database and a lot of documents and files.
The site has installed an old version of your theme. I’ve asked the client to buy the licens to upgrade it but it seems not to work.
Could you please give me a suggestion?
Hello!
A backup is really mandatory for this step.
