Hi, When I upload the Newspaper theme folder via or unzip the zipped version which I have uploaded with cpanel file manager, the theme is detected but cannot be activated and trying to move off the homepage results in an error 500 due to ‘Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error’. When I delete the theme folder the site becomes functional again, albeit without the theme.

Please contact your hosting provider and make sure you meet the requirements for newspaper: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and also inform the hostin provider about the 500 error.

Hi Bogdan, thanks for replying. The problem, as it turned out, wasn’t the theme itself but the extra memory requirement when using the Newspaper theme as opposed to the default theme. It just needed an increase to the Allowed memory size on the server. I should have read the logs a bit more closely.
