Hi,
I recently made the update to the latest version of the Newspaper theme and my website crashes everytime I try to make a post.
How can we solve this?
Hi,
I believe that you can get some more information about what it is causing those problems by checking the error log.
Normally, those kinds of problems can appear from plugins conflicts, low resources, wrong settings on host, extra code added in htaccess file.
Thank you!
Hi, Calin!
Already tried:
SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS wp_posts.ID
FROM wp_posts LEFT JOIN wp_term_relationships ON (wp_p
The error persists since the upgrade and I can’t publish nothing since then.
Hi,
The above code is relate to the rows dimensions. Usually it is made by the tagDiv Composer.
Can you please let me know from what theme version did you updated the theme?
Also, can you please let me know how you did the theme update? Did you overwritten the theme files, or those were deleted and the new theme version was added?
Thank you!
Hi, Calin!
I can’t remember what version but I think I jumped one version when updating.
I accessed the admin – Newspaper -> Updates -> Install Version
That’s how I made.
No, I did not overwritten!
Hello!
First of all, please make sure you have a backup done, deactivate all the non-tagdiv plugins or the cache plugins you use, and then you can update the theme and the TagDiv plugins also.
I would gladly recommend you to make a backup and update plugins and the theme via file transfer to the latest update: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Please update your WordPress and php version too.
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hi, Bettina!
I did not understand. I have already made the update. Should I install the new version again?
Hello!
Don’t you have any backup? How did you make the backup? It could be possible to use the backup version.
If you do not have any backup, then you can not restore what you’ve lost. Sorry.
If you can not make any post, then please make sure you have already the latest update of your theme, WordPress and php version. Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones. Also, if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, and try again.
Thank you!
