Hi,
Those would be footer templates with predefined content. There are also empty footer templates you can select

So you can enter your own widgets in the footer columns.

Thanks for the reply. I read thru that article and found that I should be looking at the info showing up in these section under Appearance >> Widgets
However when I am here, there is no info that shows up. Here is a screenshot: https://goo.gl/dutZLn
What I want to do is change the “popular posts” to posts I select because the ones showing up right now are very old.

The predefined content does not appear there, by predefined I mean in the actual footer template PHP file.
If you use a predefined template and also add widgets to those footer columns, they will be displayed below the predefined content

If you choose an empty template, there will be no predefined content, only you widgets will be displayed

You can also create a page with the tagDiv composer and display that in the footer if you want to, instead of a footer template

The cloud library plugin provides some footer pages that can be imported and set. You can import and then modify these if needed, or create your own page
