Can’t seem to figure out why content in a Block 3 on our homepage was displaying articles in a single column (image then headline) and now they are appearing as 2 articles next to each other in a single column? Only change we made recently was updating the “Search display view” in the Template Settings, but not sure if it’s related.

I’m not sure how you set your page in backend and also what page template do you use. Please provide a link and more details how you set it in backend. Also do you use version 4 of the theme?

Thanks for reply. Yes, using version 4 for now. Tried different templates but originally set up with “Homepage blank” and worked fine.

The row is 2/3 + 1/3 with a Slide at the top. Below is another two columns (in same row) that are 1/2 + 1/2. We did not change those settings and was working/displaying fine for a month or two. If we create a new column on a new page (or new row on same page), it seems to work. Once it comes near the slide (TD) now it splits.

Unfortunately the tagdiv blocks were not designed to be used like this, as Newspaper theme was designed in 3 columns fixed grid, so the blocks were designed to be used in 1/1 – 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3, or 2/3 + 1/3 – http://screencast.com/t/6gdyLvoX4 and you have split the roy to 1/2 +1/2. Also I suggest to not use row in row as you will get some issues. You will have to customize blocks/modules to be displayed fine on other columns and it is not an easy task.

Thanks, I guess the most frustrating part is that it was working fine for months, no changes to home page layout. Now we need to build in different rows, which creates a sidebar issue. Using the logic that this theme is build around 3 column fixed grid, 1/3 of those 3 columns is dedicated to the sidebar on the right. Now we want to display the slider over column 1 and 2, the sidebar moves to the top of column 3, which is fine. But adding a new row under the slider doesn’t allow that content to start until after the sidebar is ended. If we use the page version of the sidebar, it reduces the remaining space on the page and divides that up into 3 columns, in essence creating 4 columns. Not very design-friendly.
I just wish we understood why it worked correctly at first (since May) with the row within the slider row, then it doesn’t anymore. By the way, does version 6 offer more flexibility in this regard?

I have checked this with the latest version of the theme 6.3 and seems to work better with Visual Composer row in row option – http://screencast.com/t/N4k5WCcry – http://screencast.com/t/iOVTU7BuXeC I asked the developer about this and we suggest to update to the latest version using this guide(make a full backup of your current theme installation) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and also disable all your plugins before update. After update please make sure that no files from version 4 will remain, to make sure of that you can try to update via ftp – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ then update also the theme’s plugins from the /plugin folder, activate it from here – http://screencast.com/t/ZtkWY5ykJgCh and make sure that you use the latest version – http://screencast.com/t/nn2stdsARkr check your site only with Visual Composer active and see if it works.
In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings, will change the shortcodes. Unfortunately you will have to re-add your widgets in the sidebars as some of them may not be imported or don’t exist anymore, also they will become inactive.
