Hello, I’m updating Newspaper for the first time since installing it a couple of weeks ago. Had version 7.6.1 and updating to 7.7.

I’m inside the Envato Market plugin, and clicked Update.
It’s been about 30 minutes now, and it still says it’s “Updating” with the Update wheel still spinning. Is it normal for it to take this long?
The website still works, and when I click on Newspaper in the left menu in a new tab it still says version 7.6.1 is installed…
I don’t want to click out of the updating window if it’s actually updating. Internet connection is fine.
Any advice?

Update Theme only via FTP (read section A. Update the theme via FTP)
That plugin has never worked right for us — ever.
Best to use FTP, with something like Filezilla, as you can also make a safety backup of your site docs same time; remove old broken themes, etc.

You should interrupt the process and try to update the theme via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard. using the Envato Plugin, it is possible to appear some errors during the update which can influence this process.
