Hello!
I have after the upgrade to 9 version began to receive errors:
1. Error display the video that is inserted into the block- Column text .
2. Error codes in the – HTML block do not work
before the update everything worked fine
Hi,
I tried to insert a video in a text, seems to work
– http://prntscr.com/kgm6n3
Html also works – http://prntscr.com/kgm78r
These elements work same as before. Maybe check if there are any errors in the browser inspector console, also clear your caching and CDN if used.
We are investigating the issue you mention as we speak. Seems there is a problem in certain cases.
It will be fixed as soon as possible and the theme will be updated again. I will let you know when to re-download the theme. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We tested extensively before but it seems there is a problem in specific situations.
After updating to Journal 9 I could no longer access the adim of WordPress, I had to go back and back in the previous version.
I tried 3 times and the same thing happens, so I kept the previous version until it was solved!
The site is https://www.viagensecaminhos.com
I had the same problem
I lost all my ads and stay lost money ….
Someone had the old version to donwgrade?

After updating thema to 9.0 with error shown below.

wp_booster error:

The theme should be re-uploaded today, I will mention it here. The issues are mostly with the text and raw HTML elements of the tagDiv composer, they do not function correctly.
@Jair Prandi and @todayidol So you update and cannot login in the website. Please make sure there are enough resources especially WP memory
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Similar issues or 500 errors were solved by increasing it to 256M if possible.
@silvaniodc Double check if the theme plugins are updated and active. Then go the theme panel sub-footer settings, select the multi-purpose template and save

Let me know if that fixes it.
The theme has been re-uploaded, the issues with the text and raw HTML elements have been fixed. Please download again and install it. If you have broken text elements since the update, these will have to be re-added in the page/post.
For damaged pages pages you could restore a previous page revision.
There should be no more problems in this matter. Sorry again for the inconvenience.
Even with today’s review the error keeps happening!

That is the update, 9.0.1 it should fix the text and raw HTML issues.
@Jair Prandi That may be caused by insufficient memory. For some users with 500 errors or login problems setting a limit of 256M worked and the issues were solved. Check in the theme system status and check what value is displayed for the WP memory.
@attefall What do you mean screwed up? Some screenshots or a link to the website would have been very helpful.
Has the composer update automatically? Check if it is active. It will be deactivated if for some reason the automatic update does not work. In that case there should be an update button here

Update all the theme plugins that you use, they are provided in the theme package. If you use caching or CDN, clear both after you update. Let us know if there is still a problem.
Hello!
In the last two updates of the Journal theme I’m having problems.
I tried to do the update today and after I update the theme, the site keeps working, but I can not log in to WordPress anymore.
My TagDiv Composer plugin was disabled. I tried to activate it, as it suggested and it got even worse. Neither site worked anymore. So I went through the Cpanel and renamed the plugin and everything went back to normal.
I had to leave the old version of July to work.
The site is the https://www.viagensecaminhos.com
We had to roll back from 9.1 as it broke our site.
The front page was full of shortcode.
Mike
Hi,
Each theme version works with the composer version provided with it. The composer will try to update itself, but if this fails it will remain deactivated.
There will be a message mentioning if the plugins were deactivated and that you should update them
– https://www.screencast.com/t/1EFP3tx1nE
In that case you have to update it manually (by update button) in the theme plugins panel, like this example for some plugins that were deactivated
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8jMMCjOg7y1W
@Jair Prandi In some cases login issues (I believe you get a 500 error) were solved by increasing the WP memory to a higher value. For most users a 256M value would be enough
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
@Sydney Archdiocese If you would create a new topic and mention the problems you are facing in detail, it would be very helpful. Also we will be able to help you in that case.
If shortcodes are displayed in pages, please check if the tagDiv composer plugin is active after the update.
Thanks
The problem is that when I update the theme I can no longer access the WordPress panel. With this, I also can not enable the Composer plugin.
Memory problem, it’s not. I had checked.
Is there any way for you to check my website to find out the problem?
We could take a look, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel and FTP if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Our site is currently down after the update. We updated this morning and first parts of the site were not working. After not being able to reach the log in site anymore we spoke to our webhost (hosteurope). They switched the theme on and off and blocked a plugin, still the site is not working. Now it is not even possible to approach the site properly. People from host europe said it could be a problem with php 7.
Would be very glad for any help! -> http://www.bonnsustainabilityportal.de

@bonnsusport From what I can see currently the website provides a 500 error
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4lBSw4Yoe
The most important things to check is if there are sufficient resources
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Check if there is enough WP memory, for most users a value of 256M is enough.
Maybe re-install the theme in case something went wrong during the update. The most recommended and reliable method is by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If you still cannot login after the update, disable all plugins by FTP
– https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/
Check if the website works. Delete the theme plugins and reinstall them from the package.
The theme is compatible with PHP versions up to 7.2, 7.1 would be a good version to use.
Let us know what you find.
Thanks
