What would be the recommended way to set up an events calendar with the newspaper theme? I am looking for:
1. the possibility to show a list or grid of events (sorted by date and category or tag) on a page or post. Past events should be excluded.
2. the event detail post

Unfortunately, we have not tested any plugin for events with our theme.
I recommend you to build CPTs.

Thank you Bettina for your advice. I have created the custom post type ‘event’ with the ACF and CPT plugins. The event CPT has a start and end date. However, I have not been able to find how I can exclude the past events from the grids and blocks. Also I have not found how to sort the events by start date.
Could you please let me know how to do this?
