hi,
I set the header live search placeholder text and when I click the live search icon the placehoder text just flashes for a microsecond – maybe because the cursor is set to the search fiueld automatically – can the placehoder text stay on when I click the header live search icon???

I did as you told and it still disappears immediately – the problem is that we need the placeholder to stay visible BEFORE the cursor is placed in the search field – can it be done?

we dsiabled the following plugins and then reenabled each one by one – NO EFFECT ON CPU USAGE

WE DISABLED ALL OTHER PLUGINS!
NOW WHEN WE ENABLED THE NEWSPAPER THEME THE CPU USAGE WENT TO 100% AGAIN!
