Can we create other hidden categories like ‘Featured’?
Need to control what is displayed in Home page, slider, ticker etc, All of which cannot be done with a lone ‘featured’ category. Is there a way?
Is there an alternate way to achieve the same control?

I wish TD_FEATURED_CAT and TD_FEATURED_CAT_SLUG were arrays and not just constants, which could have made the life easier.
It seems to customize I will have to add other constants like TD_TICKER_CAT and TD_HOME_PAGE_CAT and then exclude them where like TD_FEATURED_CAT?

Unfortunately adding a new ‘featured’ category involves editiong of quite a number of files and adding conditions for it. You can use a text editor to search where the featured_cat is specified: http://screencast.com/t/LYjDWkWf0 This will be no easy task so if you cannot do it, you can maybe get some hired help as we cannot offer any custom work at the moment. Sorry.
