how can i install/update plugins? I cannot allow a third party to ftp into my server. TY

Thanks for your response! As I mentioned I cannot allow a third party to upload files to my server. I have to upload files and place them into directories myself. I would like to know what files to place into which directories. The documentation you mention leads to the menu in which I have to provide my ftp credentials, which I cannot do. Please advice.
I get this error:

First is look that the theme was not installed correctly, this is not a good path for theme -> http://prntscr.com/pdolol it need to be something like this https://darkstar.cshl.edu/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/plugins/td-composer.zip
What you can do for theme plugins is to copy theme from wp-content/themes/Newspaper/plugins/td-composer.zip in wp-content/plugins/td-composer.zip and unzip them there, after that activate theme from Newspaper > plugins.

Also please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
