Hello, I was wondering how I can get the newer theme plugins such as The TagDiv Newspaper. How does that process work? Do I have to renew support and reinstall the theme?

Newspaper is the theme, not a plugin. The full theme package contains all the plugins that are provided with the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
If you want to download the package, you can do that from your themeforest account. Once you purchase the theme you can download it at anytime from themeforest. If I misunderstand something please let me know.

I purchased this theme back in 2017. These are the only 6 plugins that I currently see on my account: tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Multi-Purpose, tagDiv Social Counter, Revolution Slider, tagDiv Mobile Theme, Visual Composer. My question is how do I get the other plugins such as TagDiv Newspaper so I can collect the emails of users?

Maybe you mean the newsletter plugin, this is provided as well in the theme package, since version 8.7 – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-newsletter-plugin/
You can install it manually from the theme plugins folder – http://prntscr.com/n0wmtt
Or from the theme plugins panel – http://prntscr.com/n0wn8c
If this is not available for you, you must be using a theme older than 8.7. Let me know if you have more questions.

I must have the older version because the newsletter plugin is not available in my plugin folder. My question is how do I get it? Do I need to purchase the theme once again?
I see now, I redownloaded it from the theme files and added it to my site like a normal plugin. Thanks
However, I have gotten this message:
“TD Newsletter – This plugin requires Newspaper v8.7.5 but the current installed version is Newspaper v8.6.
To fix this:
– Delete the TD Newsletter plugin via wp-admin
– Install the version that is bundeled with the theme from our Plugins Panel”
Do I have to buy the theme once again just to be able to access this plugin or can I pay for the plugin by itself?

The newsletter is provide in our theme package singe Newspaper v8.7 will not work on previews version, also from the plugins that we provide you need to use only the plugins that came in theme package, not a later or prev version of them.
In order to use the newsletter plugin you’ll need to make a theme update, but first please make sure that you make a full backup to your website.

Ok, but I have added some custom CSS, background image, text, and other adjustments to the theme will those be lost during the update?
Also, Can I use this method to update “Update the Newspaper Theme automatically” found here https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/?
I ask the question above because I have been wondering why the theme hasn’t been updating for a few months now. It seems crazy that I have to uninstall the theme to update it, so will the automatic method above work. Or is there better automatic update method you recommend? Also, why can’t this theme be updated as other themes are?

If you make an update to the theme all settings from theme panel will remain, only the changes from theme files will be override, so first you’ll need to make a full backup to your website.
If you are using child theme please deactivate it until you make the update.
Yes you can use it, just please make sure that you make the settings for envato plugin like in our documentation -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/ ( also if you are using the envato plugin for update is possible sometimes to not synchronize with the last updates and you’ll need to make the update manually.)
After theme update please check the theme plugins to be updated and activate in specially tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library if you are using elements from cloud -> https://www.screencast.com/t/aNq9x55w

Envato Market plugin is the automatic update method that I am currently leaning towards using.
However, I just want to clear a few things up. From the three update methods here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/, Method C, the Envato Market plugin update seems to be the only one in which I will not have to temporarily disable my site.
-Is this correct so far, update method C will not affect the the current running status of my site in any way it will just update the theme files (that is if everything goes right)? nothing on my site will be changed only the theme files will be updated right?
– Things like my custom CSS, transparent header settings, background image, and so on will not be reset?
All I would then need to do after the update is to update the plugin themselves?

First please make a full backup to your website.
Using the envato market plugin this will set your website in maintenance mode until the update will be done, also all settings that are not made in theme files will remain ( Settings from theme panel, pages/posts ).
Yes after the theme is update you’ll need to update the theme plugins.
But using the envato plugin, you will update only the theme, you’ll not get all files and documentation for the Newspaper version you’ll update ( you can download those manually from your theme fores account, in this way you’ll have the theme package ).

Hello, I just performed the update and follow the steps correctly. My site was updated, however, all the pages looking the same as this image: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4nlntkyxqyk7bzj/ts%20site%20error.PNG?dl=0
What happened?
I did back up the site and was able to restore it.
Nevermind, it works after installing the TagDiv Plugin and clearing my browser cache. Thanks a lot!
