Hi!

I´m trying some plugins to minify CSS and improve the load page time but with W3 Total or any plugin, the website looks like if I view thw website like Google, I mean, like if I type cache:miwebsite.com.

Any help?

Thanks

Hello harmario,

To minify the CSS, use the following tool – http://cssminifier.com/ Also, please notice that the W3 Total Cache plugin is not tested with our theme and we do not recommend this because it might cause a lot of unknown issues.

Thanks for the message!

Thanks Catalln!!

Sadly, Im not a programmer and I dont know what css I have to minify and where I have to paste it in the code later.

Exist another automatic option?

And last question:

How I cant move the java and css scriptos to the footer?

Thanks a lot

Learn by trial/error, is best way.

Learn to open your style.css file in a text editor like textpad, BBedit, notepad, or similar.

That is what you would select all/copy/paste into the CSS minifier box … try it ?

You then end up with a slimmed version of the code, which can then be pasted back into the style.css file.

Once you have a text editor in your PC/Mac, simple enough to “open” files from the theme folder on your local hard drive to explore what is in them. Also see the WordPress.org “codex” to understand common conventions of theme and WP hierarchy.

There really is no 100% reliable automated minification tool for CSS. You may run into issues, as you have already, unless you do it yourself manually — this is what all web dev folk have to do — part of the mental ‘cost’ of choosing to do this stuff.

Hello harmario,

Please keep in mind that our theme does not have an automatic option which minifies your CSS. After this will be minified with some tool, it can be replaced in the style.css. Also, regarding on how you can move the js and CSS to the footer, you should consult our guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ because there you will see all the steps which are required to be followed to increase your page speed. You should use our TagDiv Speed Booster.

Thanks for your understanding!

Thanks Catalln!

The Speed Booster is incompatible with all the others plugins.

Im going to forgive the speed improve for a while.

Thanks for all.

Hello harmario,

The Speed Booster is an optional plugin, and it works only with the tested plugins. If you use other plugins, it will be automatically disabled, and I suggest to check this first in System Status. However there is a workaround to make it also work with other plugins, you can read more here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-not-compatible-with-vaultpress/

Thanks for your understanding!
