Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to update from theme 6.1 to latest theme 7.1 using the envato toolkit. My big concern is if by updating the theme do i will lost all my personal settings regarding the post and the custom layout or this will remain save, just like i have it with my current theme version?

Hi,
Updating from newspaper 6 to 7 should go smoothly and no settings will be lost as they are kept in the database. It is recommended however to do a back-up before updating. Please use this guide to update:

Also make sure you update the social counter plugin as well. Your current social counter will not work with newspaper 7.

I´m sutck with the update for the last 2 hours.
Updating process just took about 1 mins :V follow the guide in document.
Thanks for your reply, I follow the update steps using the Envato Market plug in, but for some reason it didnt work out. Did you use the automatic uodate process or manual??

Just do it manually, that’s easier. But be sure to backup!
Hi,
It sometimes has issues connecting to the server so you need to reload the page and hit the update button again. On the second try it updated under a minute every time. Try it out!

Hi,
As the envato market is a plugin itself, it could conflict with other plugins. You could try to disable the plugins but if there is no conflict this is not a requirement.
