Hi I am trying to activate the mobile theme on my site http://www.dailydream360.com. The featured images do not appear in either the list or the grid formats. I’m not sure which thumb modules I need to activate if any.

Hi,

From what I can see the problem is not caused by the theme thumbs, these are all fine, the problem is caused bu some untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme/tested plugins, child theme ( if you are using), clear all cache and try again.

Thank you for your understanding!

This is not helping. All my plugins are necessary I’ve removed all unncessary plugins to increase speed. Here is a list of the plugins on the site – do you know maybe of a setting within the plugin that might activate the issue. Plugins on my site are all for optimization, caching etc. I’ve tried disabling plugins and clearing cache but this does not help.

Akismet, Amazon Link builder, AMP, Classic Editor, Cloudflare, Contact form 7, Cookie Notice, CoSchedule, Easy Table of Contents, Envato Market, Featured Images for RSS, Glue for Yoast, Login Lockdown, mailer Ligt, SG Optimizer, She Media, Short Pixel AI, Short Pixel, Social Pub TagDiv: Cloud, Composer, Mobile, Newsletter, Social Counter, Standard Pack, Thirsty Affiliates, Unlist Posts, Wordfence, Yoast.

Hi,

Please notice that we can not test/investigate if this is a theme plugin problem or not, this can be tested only if you deactivate all non theme and untested plugins, all I can do with out deactivate these is to try to provide a custom css for that problem, but for this you’ll need to reactivate the mobile theme plugin.

Thank you for your understanding!

The theme is still active it is just set to AMP while I figure out a solution, I did turn off, a number of plugins and clear the cache for each one and this still did not resolve. I can’t leave up a broken site.

Ok I have deactivated almost all my plugins now and put the theme back to mobile + AMP – this is still an issue? I can’t leave my site broken like this for a long time – do you have a more immediate fix for this vs me waiting over 24 hours for a response?

Hi fatih-2,

Are you using the mobile theme plugin ? the mobile theme plugin provide a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se

Since Newspaper v9.7.4 you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/oh6r2s you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ or if you want to have the responsive version only you can use the amp option from mobile theme (to use the mobile theme template on amp) or you can disable the plugin.

Also please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme/tested plugins, also if you are using child theme, clear all cache and try again.

Thank you!

Hi @Calin

Yes, Using mobile plugin-active. Theme panel is amp+mobile..All the mobile theme versions are enabled for posts also, AMP settings are enabled for posts and pages.

I don’t think there’s a plugin conflict because we are using same plugins same themes on 2 websites 1 is ok and 1 is not. Do I have to enable specific thums or else for images?

Please see attached. https://prnt.sc/r6s023

After over a week of back and forth, it was a specific thumbnail that needed to be turned on. Then it worked properly. Sorry I don’t remember which thumb it was.

@calin

Yes, 265×198 and 741×486.

I don’t see this in any documentation…May be I missed

Exactly. It would have been helpful to be told which of the thumbs are required for Mobile theme but they don’t bother to tell us.
