I’m experiencing the issue that is described also by many other users below. For several hours my site was displaying a page accusing me and my company of software piracy. This is unacceptable since I have the original license key bought on Envato Maret. Reseting the key worked for me, but how can I be sure the situation like this will not happen in future? It is compromising me in the eyes of my customers and visitors…

If the notice is displayed on the website, first please make sure the theme is activated with the key https://tagdiv.com/how-to-activate-the-newspaper-theme/ If the theme was activated, please try resetting the theme activation and then activate it again with the key, from the theme system status panel https://i.imgur.com/7Ktmd1e.png Ultimately, if there is a problem or the issue remains, please send us an email immediately at contact@tagdiv.com and we will take a look.
The problem is that the problem isn’t fixed and the email is not replied after emailing to contact@tagdiv.com
You guys have to realise this problem is not something you can take a few hours to fix. You need to fix it for your paying users immediately! Many of our sites are commercial in nature and we lose thousands of dollars every hour when sites are down!
Reset does not always work, the whole thing is in such a mess. We should get together and ask for compensation

I have managed to somehow get my site back – but please take this on board – it is NOT ACCEPTABLE that you treat paying customers this way.
You don’t offer any kind of telephone support and email doesn’t cut it.
We are totally disappointed in your treatment of us and your unprofessional behaviour and we will now be looking for a new way to have our site designed.

aside from the fact that I have tried to reset the key and it keeps telling me it is invalid, the banner itself is so hideous that it looks like the site has suffered a defacement!

I solved it by resetting the key, in the haste I had entered the license code of another theme. I entered the correct one which was on another account and solved. The fact remains that these developers (from which I will NEVER buy again) has no right to replace the home page, shaming me in front of the whole world, for a crime of piracy never committed. Again, if anyone wants to start a class action, I’m there.
Can you please help us? This is terrible for our brand and client confidence. We NEED your urgent help to fix this now.
really? Our is still not working. It looked like it was, but then our clients started messaging us to say what’s happening and we launched an incognito window – and guess what – not working. Our site is http://www.mediashotz.co.uk.

This is an awful situation and no-one at envato is communicating.
I found one solution that worked (for me):
1. Downgrade to an older version of Newspaper (your site should show up ok then)
2. Clear cache
3. Re-upgrade to latest version
4. Clear cache again
5. Site should be normal now
Again, TagDiv team, just because I randomly fixed the problem (after hours of trial and error, and not with any suggestion you made – de-register, re-register, clear cache, email contact@tagdiv.com…etc), you are still liable for any damage and reputation loss you caused your customers!
Relax, bro! this is how you fix it: You login into you envato account, go to downloads, download the licence and purchase … pdf or text, then you login into your website dashboard, go to newspaper / system status / reset key / then activate key … you enter the purchase code from the licence and purchase pdf and then save! Easy as pie!

This method worked for you, but did not work for many other people (including me).
Time to change themes – this is very unprofessional.
I’m connected now with the right account, before I was writing as “eclat”.
Anamaria solution seemed to work for us, but this is ridiculous; came out of the blue.
In case you’re wondering, the ‘activate key’ did not show until we RESET the key.
Once that was done, the theme said it wasn’t registered and allowed us to enter our Envato code. After doing this, did a cache clear and all seems to be working.
This shouldn’t have happened, and not sure why TagDiv has done this!?
