Mobile version – problem

Hi
I am using the NEWSPAPER template and I have a problem with launching the mobile version.
I’ve been browsing the forum and it seems like I’m doing everything OK.
In the CLOUD TEMPLATE options I create a mobile version for the home page, category and single post.
Unfortunately, all of them display the default version over which I have no control.
I additionally installed WP Rocket | Set Tablets As Mobile and WP Super Cache but nothing helped either.

Hello @lukstan!

Do you have the Mobile theme or AMP plugin installed and active?

Thank you!

I have both plugins installed, but on my mobile device I still see the default version and not the one I chose

Which AMP option (Standard, Transitional, Reader) should I choose so that I can create separate templates for the mobile and desktop versions?

Hello @lukstan!

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

Thank you!

Thank you for the information
I decided to go back to the responsive version.
I have another question
Is it possible to define (in this responsive version), for example for FLEX LOCK 1 Limit post number, different amounts for individual viewports?
E.g. desktop 4, phone 2.
Because in my case it’s always the same for everyone.

Hello @lukstan!

A workaround there could be to use 2 flex block elements: one with 4 and one with 2. Hide the element with 2 on desktop and hide the element with 4 on mobile viewport.
You can hide every element from the CSS tab: https://prnt.sc/1FJiMub9ke4s for each viewports: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB

Thank you!
