My site softwarefindr.com is taking over 60 seconds to load, I tried the default Twenty Seventeen theme and my site load time was 3secs see here: https://stage.softwarefindr.com.
So it seems to be something newspaper theme related.
The site visually loads in around 6seconds with your theme and then it continues to load something for up to 60 seconds.
Try F12/console view?

Regarding on page speed, please notice that thing depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Thanks for replying 🙂 I have already checked this, Maxcdn as looked at the site so as WP-rocket and my developer they have all stated that it’s theme related.

I have already read all your guides. And spent serval days trying to get to the bottom of the issue. I have brought a CDN, to help load time and Maxcdn as looked at the site to see why it’s taking over 60seconds to load. WP rocket as also looked at the site and advised I spoke with the theme developer as it is theme related. My developer has also looked at the site and I have also spent several days trying to solve this.
I am not asking you to optimize the site. But to look at whats causing the theme to take 60 seconds to load which is not normal.
Again I have deactivated all plugins, use tag booster, caching plugins, optimize the images. The only thing that works is when I use another theme.

Is responsible for slowing the site down. Thanks, the site is still slow but not 60seconds slow.
Catalin, when you import the gadget demo, it also imports broken images my guess is that all users using that demo template as the same issue.

Hey, I had same issues … but showing non-secure SSL image errors in browser.
Stray 192.168.0.120/wp_011_gadgets/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/53.jpg inside the latest Newspaper template. I think I uploaded the Gadgets config.
I found it by doing a select on the wp_options table:
SELECT * FROM wp_options where option_value like “%192.%”;
The above screencast screenshot from Simon C did the trick, found these references in the BACKGROUND Sign In/Join Bacground and Mobile menu/search background.
Please fix this in next pull request pls … its a tough one to find.
