Need help with mobile theme

Hello team,

I have several Newspaper licenses and I am very satisfied. I am currently creating a website on localhost and everything is OK except for the mobile version. For the first time I have a problem that I can not solve for days, so please help me to solve this.

Let me explain what is the problem. I installed “Travel blog” prebuilt website. Also I have cloud header and footer templates. All the options are set correctly. My problem is that header and footer are changing only when I click to any CATEGORY in mobile version. Not a page, not a post, but category. For some reason only then it reads “Theme panel/mobile theme settings.” If I click to any other page, post or anything else it works fine. The problem only happens if I click on categories, and I have 4 (Places, Mountains, Cities and Natural beauty).

You can see here what am I talking about:

1. Correct look – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1easzmmGOPHi0AcVxMQ_-C77g9crJITqr/view?usp=sharing
2. Correct menu – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f4ZV372mye8V7P148hv141JobI6yx3Ur/view?usp=sharing

3. Incorrect look – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aGgdmenafHT5ZlFuPXJdzJ8_Ybi6NGr-/view?usp=sharing
4. Incorrect menu – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uFwMNv_jBV68E69rXExXFdSOwjxl9MsZ/view?usp=sharing

How to keep the same look from the first 2 pictures when I click to any category? How to keep cloud header and footer in categories? I did change settings in Theme panel/header and footer, there are choosen cloud templates.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Emir Smajovic

Hello Emir!

From what I can see, you use mobile theme, so the settings for mobile theme are in the theme panel -> mobile theme.

Thank you!

Hello Bettina,

I know where are the settings for mobile theme since I use your themes for years.
I am just wondering why mobile theme activates itself only when I click to any category. It is not activating if I click to post, page or anything else. Is there a possibility to turn off mobile theme, just to leave responsive website? Maybe to deactivate AMP plugin?

Thanks!

Hello Emir!

You have the possibility to enable mobile theme only on some pages: https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
You can uninstall the mobile theme plugin and it will automatically display the responsive version of your desktop design.

Actually, we have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY

If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to disable the Mobile Theme plugin.

Thank you!
