As per GoDaddy, I had to revert to an older PHP because the Newspaper theme is not compatible with the PHP update. I get a critical error message
Hello,
@philippineone The theme works well with PHP version 8.0; some users even use 8.1
Please tell us what version of the theme you have now, and also make sure that a plugin does not cause this error.
Please provide more details, if you have errors in the error log.
Thank you!
7.4.33 and once again after updating to 8.0, I received a critical error. ALL plugins were deactivated on my second attempt with same result. Do I need to update anything on your side?
Hello,
So, do you have a version of the theme 8.0? if so, yes, problems may appear, because the version of the theme compatible with the PHP 8.0 was from version 12 greater. Please update the theme then. Please try to do the update manually via FTP/cPanel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and do a full backup of all files and databases before updating.
Also, please try to update the theme without extra plugins activated during the installation, as this may interfere with the installation process.
Also, after the update please make the tagDiv plugins are installed, like tagDiv Standard Pack, tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
the theme has been updated but the home page is just garbled. The other pages are fine, yet I have no widgets for sidebars so no advertising capability. Also, there is no footer, and the usual header was not ported

I did that and they loaded successfully while also causing a critical error and bringing down my website
