Hello,
I used Newspaper them until yesterday when i got email from pingdom.com that my website is down. I tried to disable all plugins, reboot my VPS and few other things, but nothing helped to reduce the load on the VPS. Then i change theme to Sahifa and everything started to work normal. How can i know what caused that high load, is Newspaper theme have any error log that i can check and try to fix the problem that caused high load, because i want to start using this theme again on my website?

Your hosting panel should have error log for your website.
IN our case we switched to using the beta TD Composer plugin in place of Visual Composer, which really helped. Also, moving to php 5.6 from 5.4/5.5.

On Hosting requirements page it says:
Dedicated server
Should handle 6000+ unique users per day
Well, dedicated server will handle min. 100k unique users per day. I used that theme on VPS with 4 core and 8 GB ram and i had 1000 users online at the same time (Google Analytic)
Btw i moved my website to another server and it works perfect again.

This is the error log that i got today, when my site go offline.

I have server with 2x Intel Xeon E5 2620 v3, 128 GB DDR4 RAM, 3×500 GB SSD HARDWARE RAID 5. It’s a cPanel server with Cloudlinux and Memcached installed. This server should be able to handle at least 5000 users online at the same time… I also had this problem on 2 other server that i tried last 5 days, so this is not the server related problem.
Most of the time i have more than 1000 user online and it’s working without any problems, average server load is 1.5. But sometimes i have problems when i have only 200 user online, server load goes to high and my website goes offline.
What could be causing this problem?

This issue may occur because of W3 Total Cache plugin which if is not properly configured can take a huge amount of RAM. You can try to enable only page cache from plugins options and deactivate the other options. The problem was with xmlrpc attack, not the Newspaper theme. I’m happy that it’s not theme related, because i like this theme very much 🙂
Yes; this is why we completely disable XMLRPC on our system. We had this happen a couple of times in 2012 and whacked the entire system.
we add this at bottom of .htaccess on all our sites (Apache)

</IfModule>
and delete this from header.php
