Newspaper update issues

Site is showing when admin logged in, but shows shortcode and no updates on non-logged in side.

After the updates I tried updating and activating the theme plugins but had a fatal error, then restored from yesterdays back up, but after much configuration tinkering it still looks funky and won’t load when not logged in.

Separate issue, I can’t update the “Latest articles” layout, will keep digging, but could use a hint.

Hello, @bpistone,

If I understood correctly, you updated the theme, but during the update, you received a fatal error when installing the plugins, right?
This can be from the firewall or security module which blocks admin-ajax.php request.
Please before doing the update, disable the all extra plugins you use and try to make the update manually, this is a guide that can help you => https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-how-to-update-a-plugin/
Also, if the problem persists, try to deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Also, if you have shortcodes on the homepage, please make sure you have all tagDiv plugins activate.
In the future, please provide some screenshots with the errors, and how you see when are you logged.

Thank you!

It was the cache plugin. However it is not loading the top ad and the updated latest article layout (I found the setting in the edit page backend, rather than in the theme panel) on Safari and mobile chrome.

Hello,

If you referring to this ad => https://www.screencast.com/t/PeP1plXC it appears. Also, for the latest articles, I think you use the Page Builder + Latest Articles + Pagination and you can find the settings for posts loop in this guide => https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/

Thank you!

Hello,

I just checked your website on more browsers and now looks fine, usually, this problem is from the plugin cache that you use. We recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Thank you!

added WP super cache, turned caching on, deleted cache pages, tested cache, all looked fine. tried safari browser still incorrect.

Hi,

What cache plugin do you use? Did you activate the mobile cache option?

Thank you!
