Page and post display errors (maybe CSS?)

Hi! I need your help.

Our website started to display some errors (CSS, I think):
1. In the ‘home’ many elements stopped being centered).
target=”_blank”https://prnt.sc/weRZnyf2JJN0
https://prnt.sc/riuYVMBZMUoU

This is how the home page looks correctly:
https://web.archive.org/web/20230306221124/https://impactotic.co/

2. In the entries, the width of the main image and the text block was enlarged (and everything was filling the screen).
https://prnt.sc/56GhhjiE_eLx

3. In the pages made with TagDiv Composer, elements are lost or blocks go to the left or to the full width.
https://prnt.sc/as19xgki8W6j

These failures occur without having made any changes to the WordPress installation in the last 2 months.

So far, I have tried the following to resolve it:
– Purge Cloudflare and WP-Rocket cache.
– Disable both caching tools.
– Deactivate and reactivate the TagDiv plugins.
– Make horizontal alignment of the rows, as indicated here in the forum (although it was always to the left and never failed). https://prnt.sc/fOa7vmeNIRM9
– Restore the database with a backup from yesterday, when the site was deploying perfectly.

It should be noted that on phones it still looks fine (we don’t use the tagDiv Mobile Theme).

What could have happened and how can I fix it?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello!

First of all, deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
You have a lot of errors in the console.
Examine some other potential interfering factors: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Make sure that all the requirements are set as here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Please make sure that the plugins are up to date too. Check if you have the Standard Pack plugin installed and active in Newspaper -> Plugins(for default templates).
Please execute these steps:
1. deactivate TagDiv Composer
2. uninstall (delete) TagDiv Composer
3. clear cache (if a cache plugin is present).
4. install TagDiv Composer
5. activate TagDiv Composer
6. clear cache (if a cache plugin is present).

We have some settings for the rows and different stretch sizes: https://www.screencast.com/t/bsbB5P97A

Let me know the results!

Thank you!

Hi, Bettina!

Thanks for your answer.

But everything you suggested -and much more- I already did:
– Disabled all plugins except tagDiv plugins.
– Deactivated and uninstall tagDiv plugins.
– Deleted the cache, and also ‘turn off’ the caching tools.
– Restored the database to a time when the site was working perfectly.

The site has worked perfectly since 2020, and in the last few days no changes were made to either tagDiv Composer, or the plugins, nor do we have anything like the interfering factors you mentioned.

Here, you can see how the site looked like before the failures (this is a staging copy):

You told me there are a lot of errors in the console, how can I access this list of errors, what else can I do?

Thanks!

Hello!

You can see your errors by navigating your website, click right -> Inspect -> Console.
The errors are not from the theme.

Thank you!

Hi, Bettina!

Thanks for your answer.

We corrected almost all the errors, but these were very old and had not affected the design.

We have continued to do a lot of testing, what is happening the most is that the site loads fine for a fraction of a second, and then many blocks go to the left.

I have re-purged the cache, enabled/disabled caching tools, and even removed custom body class td-tech, to see if this helped.

Nothing changes.

What could be the next step, could someone from tagDiv log into the site (I might be able to fix it in a few minutes).

Thanks a lot!

Hi, Bettina!

Calin checked the site and fixed the problem very easily.

I’m taking the liberty of sharing his post, because I think it could save others the hours I spent doing a thousand things that didn’t work:

It seems that this problem appears on Newspaper v12.3, I set it for the moment the Newspaper v12.2 and everything is ok.
It will be ok if you can set a staging where we can make further investigation, so the main site will not be affected.

Thanks!
