Dear TagDiv,
My website uses a custom homepage built via TagDiv Composer. It relies on a number of different modules to display content from different sections of our website (i.e. articles, business listings, and events). However, in all instances of content being displayed via module, the images are served from their original source rather than our CDN (we use Hummingbird, part of WPMU Dev, as our image CDN).
This problem is most easily seen in Example #2. As you’ll see, the article and all content on the left side of the desktop version is served from our CDN. However, the content in the sidebar rendered via module, is served from the original source. (Example of CDN-served image: https://326193.smushcdn.com/137681/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Assorted-Cones-696×464.jpg?lossy=1&strip=1&webp=1 vs Example of locally-served image: https://bestofnj.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Palermos-Bakery-Hero-356×220.jpg)
Forcing the modules to serve images via CDN would greatly improve my website’s performance. How can I resolve this issue?
Hi,
This request is for page speed if I understand correctly. The page speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.

Hi Calin,
This is more of a bug report than a request for page speed. Images should always be served from my CDN, but instead the TagDiv Composer modules are serving uncompressed images directly from my uploads folder, rather than the correctly compressed images from my CDN.
Hi,
Unfortunately for the moment these can be served only form media, because the theme create thumbs and these are save in media not on CDN.
I will add this on our list, maybe our developers will find a way to make this function better.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi Calin,
Thanks for your reply. I hope this is something the developers are able to add. Newspaper is a great theme, and allowing these thumbnails to be served from a CDN would optimize the theme even further and offer better incentive to create custom pages using the TagDiv Composer.
