Activated the option for counting with cache plugin active but still the hit counter misses 2/3rd of the hits for an article.
One more thing, I’m using wp-rocket UPDATED version but the system status screen on my back-end shows as I’m not using a caching plugin. Any fix for this type of an issue?
Im on Newspaper 6 with wp-rocket 2.9.8.1 (http://www.thepapare.com)
Also pls let me know the files in the theme which are responsible for hit counter so I can dig in for a code optimisation.

Any help is much appreciated!

If you’re still using WP 4.3.3 you need to update as anything prior to current version has major security holes. Many things updated for 4.7 version of WP may not work properly with WP 4.3x !!
WordPress versions 4.7.1 and earlier are affected by three security issues:
The user interface for assigning taxonomy terms in Press This is shown to users who do not have permissions to use it. Reported by David Herrera of Alley Interactive.
WP_Query is vulnerable to a SQL injection (SQLi) when passing unsafe data. WordPress core is not directly vulnerable to this issue, but we’ve added hardening to prevent plugins and themes from accidentally causing a vulnerability. Reported by Mo Jangda (batmoo).
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the posts list table. Reported by Ian Dunn of the WordPress Security Team.
An unauthenticated privilege escalation vulnerability was discovered in a REST API endpoint. Reported by Marc-Alexandre Montpas of Sucuri Security. *

WP Rocket is not tested with Newspaper Theme. WP Super Cache plugin is tested and recommended by tagDiv.
Check out this tutorial to Install and Configure WP Super Cache

Hi,
Please consider updating the theme to the latest version – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ as well as the required plugins. Also as suggested above it is imperative to update WordPress too.
Thanks
