Hi,
The recent update dd not work. It brought a critical WordPress error. I finally restored an old backup and all the image resizing and logo had disappeared. Basically all the customization I had done within the theme menu had gone.
How can I update now? And also keep all customization?

Ok, I’ve done that. The updated theme seems to work now.
However, when I go to Theme updates it says ‘Newspaper Theme license key is not yet activated’
When I press the blue button to activate it says I can’t access this page.

The activate theme menu button in the sidebar does not exist! Your instructions are old.
