Hey there,
I’m trying to enable “smart sidebar” feature with custom sidebars that I’m putting together for individual posts. So far I’ve tried Custom Sidebars, which didn’t work at all, and settled for Content Aware Sidebars. The plugin works great, but the smart sidebar feature is now no longer working.
To get around this problem, I’ve tried disabling smart sidebar altogether and using Q2W3 Fixed Widget (which I’ve used with a lot of success in the past) but this plugin doesn’t seem to work with Newspaper.
Any ideas on how I can get the sticky sidebars working again?

Update: now it seems to be working, but only after about 10-20 seconds. The page “loads” for this period of time, and the sticky widgets show only after it completes loading. I’ve tested for this delay on several different internet connections and they all take equally long.
What is it that’s taking so long to load?

Unfortunately none of the plugins you use are tested. If you want to use a standard smart sidebar,we recommend using the smart sidebar feature that is already integrated into the theme. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/

Hey Bogdan, thanks for the link but that’s where I started. I’ve figured it out. But the loading issue is still there – do you know why this might be happening? This was an issue even before I installed the plugins.
