Hello,
It seems you have a number and letters fb ID so in this case you should only use the big number in the plugin as a fb id.
Please add this number to your facebook ID: 269112466860580

Hey there. I have similar problem. My facebook page has 55 likes, but on website it shows 0. My facebook page ID does not have any numbers, its pretty forward: https://www.facebook.com/PageID/
When I press LIKE button on a website it takes me to that Facebook page, though. So I don’t get it what is the problem to receive the amount of likes that are already there?
Also, what are these for, what do they do?
Facebook App Id

Facebook Access Token
Also, I just noticed that the same problem is with Twitter. It just does not display the number of people already following the page…

Hello. Ok, well I tried to fill all the Facebook boxes, Your tutorial is a bit old, as now the creation of App ID works a bit differently.
Basically they created an app for me straight away, after entering the Name. It did not work, then I added the website on it, still does not work. When I press the “Get Access” token button, it just displays “Please Wait”.

Do i actually need to create this key from the clients facebook account or in my own and just make sure i have the facebook name associated

Okay, little update on the issue.
Firstly, I installed the new plugin that You gave me here. What is the code difference in it?
The new plugin picked the Facebook Access Token straight away, without even pressing. It was the same I could find on the facebook developers page-settings-advanced. Vut it still did not work (at least no numbers were showen). Then I pressed “Get Access Token” again, and the token has changed to more similar to the one thats on documentation. (Weird?)
Then I went to sleep, and after 5 hours i checked and counter seems to be showing the amount of likes correctly.
Please can you fix these issues, and also update the documentation. Cheers.

These are not issues. It is simply your cache affecting the social counter. The counter is affected by cache and will not update until it is free. Pleas only use wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also please contact your host and have them disable any hosting side cache.

I’m getting the “0 Likes” issue also. I’ve installed the newest plugin from http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/td-social-counter.zip but unable to get the access token to generate. When I hit “Get Access Token” it hangs on “Please wait…”. In the console error I get…
TypeError: data.replace is not a function. (In ‘data.replace( ‘access_token=’ , ” )’, ‘data.replace’ is undefined)
Any help is appreciated!
Disregard, was able to get the plugin working correctly. In our case, the CloudFlare caching had to be completely purged as well. All good now!
Hi. I have no cache plugin at the moment, and as I am hosting provider myself, I can tell that I don’t use and server side caching either. So I don’t really understand the issue that this plugin has. Also I was asking about the difference in code and it’s functionality, as it’s clear that the one that you gave is working compared to the original one…

and i dont want to use mobile theme, so i want to use the standart newspaper theme, but i want to know how to change the menu color , if i want to show the web site in mobile and tablet the color still black.

Hi. Same thing again. I wanted to change the FB App to another one, created it, entered ID and Secret key, The token does not pick up again.
I have newest Newspaper Installed (7.8.1) with newest Social Counter plugin provided.
I tried to use the other one: http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/td-social-counter.zip – but this time not even this one helped.
Any ideas?

The theme was updated and so was the social counter fixing the token issue. Please update your theme to the latest version by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and then disable and delete your current social counted plugin and install the one provided in the theme package you download.
