We’re trying to have a widget in the sidebar which showcases the most popular articles in a 24hr period (or 7 day would be useful). We’re using the “popular jetpack + stats module required” option. But by default this widget displays blank. If we add “Filter Type: By Popularity” then the widget shows popular posts when clicking on either ‘Featured’ or ‘All Time Popular’ – but not by default.
We can’t seem to figure out why the popular filter just doesn’t seem to be working and comes back blank. No caching plugins enabled.

When enabled the sorting will be done through the Jetpack plugin entirely, no other settings from the filter tab will have effect. The sorting method requires the Jetpack stats module to be enabled and it will work

If you want a 7 day sorting this is available in the theme

The post views have to be enabled in the theme panel
