Hi,
I know there is a way of enabling and disabling post dates in the theme panel, however, can this be done on individual posts or for a specific category?
For example, most of the posts on my site are static articles and should not have dates. However, I want a category for blog posts to have dates,
Thanks
Vincent
Hello Vincent!
For default templates, here is the setting: https://app.screencast.com/Sy0vjYsVvJJ7n
For cloud templates, you can edit any template with the TagDiv Composer and delete the elements you do not need anymore.
We recommend using cloud/PRO templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer, which contains a lot of functions and features. Please check out our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More documentation about the cloud templates is here:

Hi Bettina,
Thanks for your reply. I know that setting is already there (see my original question), however, can this be done on a single specific post – meaning that I want some posts with dates and some without? For example, I want a category named ‘blog’ and all posts with dates, the other categories, travel etc will have no dates.
Is this possible?
Thank you
Hello Vincent!
You can add or delete the element from the tagdiv composer called “Single Post Views.” For example, you can have a single global cloud template without that element. Duplicate the template, rename it (add that element), and assign it manually to the articles you want. You can choose the template you like for some posts from a category in the theme panel settings -> categories.
Thank you!
Hi Bettina,
Tagdiv composer is only available for pages, right? It is not there for posts. Surely there is a fast and simple way of disabling dates on individual posts? I want to keep the existing layout and style I currently have and have the option to disable the date for posts that ar more like articles.
Thanks
Hello Vincent!
We have cloud templates for posts as well: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
You can’t achieve what you need with default post templates. There are no default templates without the post date. The setting from the theme panel will work for all default post templates.
Thank you!
