Hello, I’d posted previously about this and now here I am again. Still trying to wrap my head around this.
Let me approach this from a different angle.
I’ve added a blank cpt template from your cloud. okay.
Now I go to a published custom post type page and click on the green ‘Edit the CPT Template’ at the top.
I then edit that template and save.
Okay, now what?
Any changes I make are not reflected anywhere. I’ve tried going about this many different ways but I get nowhere.
Even after making changes to that template and going back to any published cpt page, I click on that green button again and it’ll show me the changes I made previously. Plus, any changes I make going forward will always be reflected in what’s shown to me going into the future.
But ONLY within the supposed template and not the actual published CPT pages. Follow?
What am I missing here?
Please, I would love to be able to solve this. Thanks.
Hello!
Documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-post-type-support/
If this tutorial is not helping you anymore, then please provide a video with the settings you applied and what you’re trying to achieve, so I can help you efficiently.
Thank you!
Unfortunately, that’s not the case at all.
As mentioned, it’s just so strange that I see the edit CPT template button at top and I see the changes I made to that template. But they’re just not reflected in the actual page. 🙁
Frustrating since it’s such an important feature for me to have and yet I can’t get it done.
Lol, yes I know that.
Still nothing
I imagine this other user knows that as well.

I want to give this post a HUGE boost because there is no documentation on here that helps us. PuckWuck – I feel your pain!
I think the majority of us are using a plugin that uses custom post types in one way or another and want to be able to use tag div composer / elements to do things like show ads (among other things) based on on CPT .
I am using an events plugin (Events Manager) and want to be able to serve ads (particularly the header 728×90 placement) to just the events section of my website.
I want it setup so that when I add an event it automatically shows the header Ad that I want to display.
Here’s a video of what I want to achieve.

Can you please help?
If any other users have found a solution I’m all ears!
Hello!
@metacoach Check if you have some errors in the console on that CPT page. Also, try to check if there is not a plugin conflict with other plugins that you use.
@techwafer AMP has its own style/design/template, so it could overwrite the CPT template. Read all about it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Thank you!
Disregard my last message. I was wrong. Here are the errors I am getting..

Hello @metacoach,
Are you using an events plugin? it looks like the problem is with that plugin
Thank you!
It’s never the theme though is it? Can you PLEASE put a bit more effort into your support???
I’m getting this on every other page https://capture.dropbox.com/MXd12VVQlSXc4U7D

The Tag Div composer is essentially blocking the page content.
Please take some time to look into this. I took the effort to put a video together showing what is happening. Please help me try to find a solution.

Hello @metacoach!
It looks like the resources can not be loaded responding with a 404 error.
Please uninstall the Siteground Optimizer plugin and see the results.
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
OK…
No console errors on https://capture.dropbox.com/UsT3NUFm2AJuhMf5 (with Cloud Template set to global) but no content is showing as in my initial video
And no errors with Cloud templates global deactivated https://capture.dropbox.com/G4CkzEUQo8VKx5p3

OK, for anyone trying to figure this out just don’t bother. Here’s the response I got from support…
Unfortunately, the information from your listing from that plugin cannot be displayed in the cloud CPT template. For that, you need to create some custom elements that are able to pull the listing information from the database and display it. When you unassign the cloud template, then the default version is displayed there. Unfortunately, for the default version, you can not change the header or have more headers on your website.
I have no idea why they aren’t clear on this. Plugin CPTs do not integrate with Tag Div Composer. It’s taken me 6 weeks to finally get this out of them.
I also have the same problem. I had to create all my pages in php manually. Since cloud never pulls the page we set up.
They say the problem is never their theme. Funny, I have tested my site with several themes and it works normally.
But strangely, with Newspaper I have dozens of conflict and horrible indexing performance with the mobile page.
