Hi,
After upgrading to Newspaper 11.1 and WP 5.8, I have issues with Tagdiv composer as follow:
. Newspaper system status = it’s fine, green (WP memory request = 256MB)
. Homepage – edit with tagdiv composer: the site cannot load (circle waiting/pending very long)
. Category page – edit with tagdiv composer: the site loads easily, works very well
. Header missing on homepage site, header is on every category page, post page

Kindly help me fix this issue.
Thank you very much,
William

Hello William!

First of all, please make sure you have the plugins also up to date. Example:
1. disable TagDiv Composer
2. uninstall(delete) TagDiv Composer
3. clear cache (if cache plugin exists)
4. install TagDiv Composer
5. activate TagDiv Composer
6. clear cache (if cache plugin exists)

We have a guide for how to investigate this problem and fix it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/

Also, please check if this code is missing from your htaccess: https://www.screencast.com/t/iN0R93dD3p from our requirements https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

For the header, please check if you have Standard Pack plugin installed and active.

Sometimes, the issue can be from a plugin conflict, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

Hope that helps you!

Thank you!

Hi,

My system status = fine, right, green
htaccess file has all the details as you suggested

Should I deactivate, delete and reinstall tagdiv Composer plugin? Will it affect the current design I have?

Kindly explain why tagdiv composer cannot edit/load homepage site? any other sites (category, post page) can be opened and edited by tagdiv composer very easily?

Hello!

It should not affect your design. But, you can make a full backup just to be sure you won’t lose anything else.
In order to edit a page/post with TagDiv Composer you need to use a PRO/cloud template and not a default one. For more information about TagDiv Composer, please check our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Thank you!

Bettina,
Of course I am using a pro/cloud template. I did reinstall tagdiv composer and it does not work. Homepage doesnt have header, it cannot be edited with tagdiv composer, when any other pages have header and can easily modified with tagdiv composer.

You need to be more helpful, more insightful to help me solve this problem!

Exact same issue here. It was fine yesterday and today the header is gone. Unable to edit any page with the tagdiv composer.
We use 2 different header in Cloud templates. A transparent/overlay and a solid. One of them still works, so any page with the solid one still shows. The transparent/overlay one is gone. It still shows in the cloud templates list.

I’ve tried clearing cache. Disabling the cache pluging. Removed and reinstalled the tagdiv composer plugin.
Also disabled any other plugins that may be suspect.

Running on a dedicated with an extreme amount of resources.

This theme has been the most unstable, unreliable and PITA theme I have worked with in over 10 years. Nothing but headaches and issues.

WCDT- Try this. I’m making some progress on my end getting this back.
Go to your cloud template library and Open the cloud template header in regular Edit mode (not tagdiv composer).
Check your revisions and try restoring the previous one.

That brought things back for me and the tag div composer now opens. It’s beyond slow, but it opened and the header returned.

I do not have homepage site revisions, cannot restore the previous one.
It is funny that tagdiv composer works with other sites (category, post), but it cannot open homepage site (homepage is missing header, header is on other sites).
