I just clicked the template and when changing from the old theme to the Newspaper you can’t see the images on the web.
I’ve been researching, but I do not see where the problem is.

Try to clear cache, if you use caching plugin, but the problem probably lies in thumbnails, so you should regenerate thumbnails.
In documentation you can find all about regenerating thumbnails.

It seems that no images and thumbnails are displayed on the website, and the functionality of the theme is broken in some elements. Please try to reinstall the theme by FTP

Then deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, and clear all caching. Do not modify the theme files in any way.
Check these parameters in the theme system status and make sure they are set properly

Ask you hosting provider to help you or change the values if needed.

The theme is tested with PHP versions up to 7.1 that should be taken in consideration as well.
