We have been using Newspaper 7.5 for several years and the hosting company just upgraded their PHP to 7.0.33 and WordPress to 5.2.4 and now I can’t get into page admin properly. It comes up mostly gibberish.
I tried installing Newspaper 9 (the latest) and everything went south. I managed to restore back to the old theme. Do you install updated themes so that content stays intact.
My second question: Will the new WPBakery Visual Composer version work with Newspaper 7.5?
Links to what I see on the front page in edit mode.

Hello,
You are using a very old theme, there were a lots of changes since Newspaper v7.5, also now the core of our theme is tagDiv Composer, the theme builder.
Making update from v7.5 to the last version will be a very big difference in the theme, it will be almost a new theme, also please make sure that you are making the update according to our documentation -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/, first please make a full backup to the theme, also it will be recommend to test first the new theme on local install or on sub-domain, and only after that to make the theme update ( delete all the old theme plugins and the theme and install the new one), also please use only the WPBakery Visual Composer that is coming with our theme, because only these version that comes with the package are tested to work with our theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
I’m slowly working my way through NewspaperX but I’m stumped on this:How do I hide the “next arrows” on the category page andhow can I make the post headlines in the category page the same size as the feature headline in the category page.
Please see my image attachment: https://www.rrecordstage.com/stage/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Screen-Shot-font-size.jpg
Thank you,

Hi,
So if you are using the Newspaper X, then you’ll need to edit that page using tagDiv Composer and check in filter tab -> https://i.imgur.com/dbfnW7O.png -> https://i.imgur.com/GWzyal6.png after that check the style tab -> https://i.imgur.com/2fOr4Ih.png
Please check the block and flex block documentation.
Thank you!
How do I stop the footer from dropping down from the top when I scroll up on the home page?
Thank you,
KC

Hello !
That is the infinite loading option. Please follow the steps found in here and disable it: https://tagdiv.com/infinite-loading-for-single-posts/
If this is not what you mean, please provide some more details.
Thank you !

1Normal header: https://www.rrecordstage.com/stage/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/1Normal.jpg
2scrolling-up: https://www.rrecordstage.com/stage/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/2scrolling-up.jpg
After scrolling down to middle of the page or post and then scrolling back up the footer information appears floating at the top of the page and then disappears when the scrolling up finishes.

This is the footer on the page.

Hi,
If you are using a default header style, just make sure that you change and set all the settings in Theme panel> Header (also I think that now the menu is set to smart snap) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/ also if you are using a cloud header from tagDiv Cloud Library, you can edit it with tagDiv Composer.
Also you can check our video tutorials -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo -> https://www.youtube.com/user/tagdiv
Thank you!
