Hello,
For a few days now, when I try to edit the front page using TagDiv Composer, it messes up some specific characters. Especially it replaces the apostrophe with “//” or “///”, the open quotes with the same and the bullet sign “•” with “ÃÂÃÂḉÃÂÃÂÃÂÔ. It may do it with other characters as well but I haven’t come across any of them yet. This is not done in every occurrence of these characters in the page and not always in the same words. It is frustrating to check every time I open TagDiv Composer for character replacements. Can you please help?
Hello,
There was an issue in the tagdiv composer regarding language specific characters but it was fixed in version 9.0.1. Please update your theme to the latest version by using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and then make sure to also update plugins: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-how-to-update-a-plugin/
Thank you!
OK,
Please contact us via email at contact@tagid.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and investigate.
Thank you!
Hello again,
The problem persists even after a line of code you sent me to replace in wpeditor.php. When editing our front page – and any other page probably – that contains an apostrophe (‘) using TagDiv Composer, when it encounters this character, it adds a slash (/) before the apostrophe. If this isn’t corrected and the page is saved with the mistake, every time it is edited with TagDiv Composer, it adds an extra slash before the apostrophe and the text becomes /’, //’, ///’ and so on. Last time you wrote me that that I should wait for a new version of the theme that would fix the problem but I haven’t seen one for over a month now. Any new ideas?
Nick
