I’ve just switched from Elegant themes and I’m having some difficulty with Page layouts. Right now i’m focused on the Home Page.
Images are skewed and not centered as before although I did the Regeneration. For example, the Combat Winter Skin image on the homepage slider is off.
Does the slider need to be so large? I would prefer it it didn’t take up the entire page. Can it be reduced?
When i try to to select a Grid Block, the images do not line up. I set up a separate row as an example. No matter the format i chose, the images do not show up. Sometimes there is gray space.
Footer menu isn’t showing up with the elements I’ve requested.
After the Tabbed Posts, I want my page to go straight to the footer but content is repeating

Also, is the beta for the TagDIV builder still available? Is it better to use?

First of all, I will thank you for your interests in our theme! So, if you want to switch your website from Elegant theme to Newspaper theme. Please notice that you will have to work on the composition of the site because it’s going to be some design differences and you will need to adjust some elements to look good. First of all, you should try to read all our documentation, understand every element from it and then try to apply all settings of the theme to your project. Yes, the TagDiv composer is our page builder but at the moment, this plugin is in development mode, and as soon as possible we will release the latest version of it.

I’ve read the documentation and watched the videos over the past few days. I don’t expect it to look like my last Theme. I’ve switched because I liked the Newspaper Demo. However, my images aren’t rendering correctly and the blocks/grids/modules aren’t working right either. Please see my homepage for examples. I need help asap because this site is live.

Try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard. Also, install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plguins. For more information, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

I will try this. But I have questions first.
1. I have created a child theme and had been working in that. Does this mean that I must delete that and create another with the new install?
2. Will the new install have any impact on my content? Will my content still be there?
3. Does this mean I will have to redo all of my settings?
Also wanted to let you know that my plugins had been deactivated when I noticed the layout issues. I activated the plugins afterwards. Therefore, I don’t think they were the issue.

Installing via FTP appears to be working so far. The grid is now formatted on my home page. I’m going to continue to edit the site over the weekend.
I am still have some issues with images. Not all but some.
–> I’ve noticed that they don’t seem to fit within the Newspaper7 thumbnails. For instance, if you look at the grid on my homepage, for the article about “essie nail…” you can only see the top of nail polish. In my old them, the entire image was in the thumbnail.
–> Also in the grid, there is a column of gray space for the lipstick image. Is there anything can be done to get the image to fit entirely in the square?
Finally, when extracting from the Zip files, I came across the following. I hit skip but is this a problem?

Regenerating thumbnails will not result in quality loss unless you use an optimization/compression plugin or tool.
