When I open up a new page and click “Backend Editor” I am taken to the visual composer page. However, after selecting a template I am not able to click on any of the layouts. They lighten when hovering over them but once clicked do not respond.
Has anyone had this issue before?

Make sure that you use the latest theme version 6.5 and the Visual Composer is updated to 4.7.1.1 version.

Another thing you can do is check to see if all elements are selected in the plugin settings under administrator:
